Payrate: $62.99- $4.79/hr. Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented internal communications contractor to join Company’s Global Internal Communications team. This individual will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Staff base email platform, owning the editorial calendar and execution of our weekly company newsletter Inside Company and supporting a variety of internal communications projects across the enterprise. Under the guidance of the Assistant General Counsel, Corporate Affairs Division, to serve as counsel to and advocate for FM on all matters assigned. Examples include:
+ Advice on governance, data privacy and security, corporate acquisitions/dispositions and joint ventures
+ Consultant, vendor and service contracts
+ Investment and banking transactions
+ Intellectual property matters including nondisclosure agreements, patents, trademarks and copyright
+ Corporate and individual licensing
+ Brokerage agreements

**Schedule & Location**
This is a full-time exempt position that can be based on-site in Johnston, RI or Norwood, MA. Flexibility for one remote workday per week based on business needs. Domestic travel may be required up to 10% annually.
+ Oversee and administer the delivery of timely and effective legal assistance to the FM community except policy defense, litigation and subrogation matters.
+ Monitor, influence, analyze and assure compliance with new or pending legislation, regulations and cases relative to their potential impact on the company, advising appropriate company personnel accordingly; this involves both Federal and State laws and requires an in-depth understanding of the operations of the company.
+ Analyze for management the legal exposures of the company and make recommendations to reduce exposures to liability or to loss of company rights and assets.
+ Initiate or encourage proactive policies, procedures and strategies in this regard.
+ Assure that company operations are within the limits prescribed by law.
+ BA or BS
+ Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school
+ Admission to the Rhode Island Bar or at least one other state bar
**Required Work Experience**
+ 3+ years in a law firm or corporate legal department
**Highly Preferred Work Experience**
+ Range of general corporate legal experience, preferably in a property/casualty insurance environment
**Required Skills**
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical advice
The annual salary for this position is $117,280 to $168,600 and will be determined based on individual qualifications.
