The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. We seek Project Manager & Lead Technical Editor candidates with relevant Education, And Academia Sector Experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support professional services engagement for Education, And Academia Sector Clients such as WSU | ASCENT. JOB OVERVIEW

Provide services and support as a Project Manager & Lead Technical Editor (Technical Editing | Academic Research Reporting) in the Education, And Academia Industry Sector focussing on Business Process Solutions for clients such as Washington State University -ASCENT (WSU-ASCENT) | Washington State University – Office of Research / ASCENT Program Office / Purchasing Services Generally Located In Pullman, WA and across the Pacific Northwest Region (Of Country/World).

Lead with clarity and precision to ensure complex scientific reporting is accurate, timely, and impactful.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Oversee project execution, lead technical editing, coordinate SME inputs, ensure quality assurance, manage timelines, and guide report production workflows.

SENIOR TECHNICAL EDITOR
Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled **Sr. Technical Editor** to join our team, supporting the Department of the Navy (DoN). The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe products, and have prior experience in database management. This individual will play a key role in compiling and refining technical information, monitoring and reporting schedules, preparing professional deliverables, and ensuring compliance with government reporting standards
Key Responsibilities:
+ Compile, review, edit, and format technical documentation, reports, and presentations to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to standards.
+ Collaborate with government customers to gather, organize, and refine technical information.
+ Coordinate with government personnel across commands to schedule and prepare time-sensitive briefings with Navy activities.
+ Regularly monitor assignment schedules and provide updates to program managers.
+ Edit recurring deliverables, including monthly status reports, presentations, and technical documents.
+ Utilize desktop publishing tools for documentation design, development, and formatting.
+ Ensure high attention to detail, including grammar, spelling, syntax, and compliance with style guides.
+ Serve as a Media Transfer Agent (MTA), managing secure data transfers, generating transmittals, maintaining deliverable logs, and updating document inventory systems for Navy customers.
