GENERAL FUNCTIONS REQUIRED

1. Perform medical evaluations and examinations of all clinic patients.

2. Review all medical reports and, when necessary, communicable disease reports. The physician will advise staff on the medical aspects.

3. Advise and serve as a medical consultant to the Health Officer and nurses for Public Health Reasons.

4. Administer any required or ACIP-recommended vaccines to clients of the clinic or Citizens Of Passaic.

5. Perform lead testing, either capillary or venous.

6. Issue standing orders to nursing staff for the administration of immunizations, medications, or other procedures. Standing orders are required if the physician will be considerably late or absent for a scheduled clinic or activity, and another physician is not available to provide coverage.

7. Provide services such as hepatitis B immunization, COVID-19, influenza, and pneumococcal vaccines to City Employees and citizens of Passaic and make medical decisions for all such vaccines.

8. The physician will provide referrals to other licensed physicians or specialists for patients with medical conditions requiring follow-up.

9. Issue prescriptions for medications and/or supplements to patients as needed.

10. Attend meetings or other events when directed by the Health Officer.

11. Available to the Health Officer and nursing staff when needed.

12. All physicians will be held accountable for program compliance with all items stated in The NJVFC, 317-Funded Adult, and the CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Program Provider Agreements.

Work Schedule

Physician will work up to nineteen (19) hours a week if needed at any of the City Health Clinic(s).

Qualifications

All physicians must submit a copy of their license to practice medicine in the State of New Jersey. Such license shall be in good standing with the State of New Jersey.

The Opportunity:

The One Medical Virtual Medical Team (VMT) is a leading provider of virtual clinical care, providing world-class, convenient, evidence-based virtual medical care to One Medical patients in concert with their primary care providers. Employment type:

• Full time 40 hours including evenings and weekends

What you’ll be working on:

• Treating patients via tele-health visits, including telephonic triage calls, video visit appointments, and email follow-ups
• Continuous learning during weekly Clinical Rounds and through other modalities
• Ongoing collaboration with both virtual and in-office teammates via daily huddles
• Utilization of your specific clinical training and opportunities to give exceptional care to patients virtually

Education, licenses, and experiences required for this role:

• Completed an accredited PA program with a national certification 
• Currently licensed in CA with ability to obtain additional state licenses
• In the past 5 years, practiced as an Advanced Practitioner for at least:
• 2 years in an outpatient primary care setting seeing patients of all ages (0+), OR 2 years in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting seeing patients of all ages (0+) Ability to work weekday and weekend shifts (every other Saturday AND Sunday required )
• Ability to work afternoons and evenings
• (current shifts range from 7am - 11pm  alternating week schedule in PST )
• Excellent clinical and communication skills

This is a full-time virtual role.

The base hourly range for this role is $56.50 to $63.00 per hour based on a full-time schedule plus evening and weekend differential. Final determination of starting pay may vary based on factors such as practice experience, physical location (state you live in) and patient care schedule.
