CarePath Injury Centers is hiring a full-time, licensed PA-C to join our growing team!

**This position requires some travel to our offices in/around the Lehigh Valley area.

Who we are: We offer pain management, chiropractic therapy and acupuncture for accident and injury patients as an all-in-one therapy care center.

Who we are looking for: We are looking for a full-time, dedicated Physicians Assistant who is comfortable with or has experience treating pain patients, workers compensation patients and motor vehicle/personal injury patients. This person should provide excellence in communication skills, patient-centric care, work well in a team environment and be adaptable and take direction well.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Examining patients, review medical histories and help with care plans for treatment of patients
• See regular new patient & follow up appointments at our various offices located around the Lehigh Valley, PA Area
• Provide excellent, kind patient care and hospitality
• Timely complete all work up and notes in patient's chart during/after visit within our EHR system
• Work with and assist our Physicians as needed with appointments, notes, clinical requests, etc.
• Provide effective and timely communication with clinical team, office team, and supervisors
• Travel to surrounding offices throughout each week as needed to see patients and help us grow
• Additional responsibilities as needed
• Previous experience with workers compensation & MVA patients preferred

• Full-time schedule working with a dynamic group of providers in a growing practice
• Salary - negotiable based on experience

The Physician Reviewer is the primary physician reviewer for Clinical Appropriateness Reviews cases in our organization. Other duties include advising other physician reviewers and attending daily calls with health plan teams and our local teams assisting with this function and coordinating care for our patients. The position will also participate in Process and Quality improvement in our developing area of Delegated Utilization Management.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides Clinical Appropriateness Reviews by covering the specified territories as assigned:

• Establish 2-3 cases a day for each market covered (up to 6 markets); ensures attendance on all health plan and local calls; calls in for the weekly Primary Care Provider (PCP) and Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) meetings covering the assigned territories.

• Advises other physician reviewers.

• Other duties as assigned and modified by manager.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Excellent analytical and deductive reasoning skills

• Good judgement and problem-solving skills

• Professional and effective communication skills

• Strong organizational skills

• Written and verbal fluency in English

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA:

• Graduate from accredited Medical School with a valid, unrestricted license is required

• Completion of Internal Medicine or Family Practice residency

• Completion of Fellowship in Gastroenterology

• Board Certification in residency area

• Board Certification in Gastroenterology

• Two (2) years’ experience in Hospital medicine preferred

• At least one (1) year of utilization review experience preferred

• Provide ear, nose and throat specialized care to patients.
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Perform minor procedures in office, including but not limited to, nasal endoscopies, cerumen impaction removal, epistaxis control and foreign body removal, endoscopic and stroboscopic evaluation, post-operative care.
• Conduct pre-operative exams and provide pre/post-surgical instructions and education to patients and their families.
• Utilize electronic medical record system (Greenway Intergy) to document patient encounters and manage patient information.
