One of the largest cruise lines is looking for a Manager - Port Operations sitting in Fort Lauderdale, FL hybrid 3x a week. This person will be responsible for managing and establishing relationships with local authorities and service providers in ports globally, ensuring vessels are serviced effectively within the constraints of local rules, regulations, and customary practices, while observing company policies and guidelines. This role involves driving objectives to support KPIs and financial expectations, coordinating vendor services to meet company requirements, and ensuring performance standards are met. The manager will be maintaining effective communication between all parties, including local authorities such as Customs and Immigration, port authorities, and various service providers like port agencies, cruise terminal operators, stevedore and security companies, and transportation services. Additionally, the manager will be participating in budget preparation and review processes, develops professional relationships with local port communities, represents the company at local meetings and events, and ensures all port activities are performed within set guidelines and budgetary restraints. This dynamic position requires swift and intuitive action to adjust for changing external and internal factors, ensuring operational plans are executed effectively and opportunities for cost-saving enhancements are identified.
Pay Range: 100K-110K

- BS or BA in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, logistics, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years' experience in a management or leadership role with progressively more responsibility
- Prior experience in port-related management and/or marine operations, preferably passenger vessel operations
- Progressive knowledge in port operations desired.
- Equivalent operational experience in a transportation or logistics management function will be considered.
- Demonstration of directly related work experience, which has provided an equivalent breadth, and depth of knowledge may be considered in lieu of the educational requirement.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Strong Incline to drive change management; Reviewing business practices and results to define operational and procedural enhancements and efficiencies for the benefit of improved customer experience and company profitability.
- Ability to resolve complex customer service issues and respond effectively to sensitive inquiries and complaints, while meeting deadlines and maintaining an attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to clearly communicate, verbally and in writing, with all levels of the organization, authorities, business partners, and customers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Desired skills in using pivot tables and Power BI and aptitude to work with custom business software applications.
- Ability to analyze operational results and data and create reports or create presentations.

We are looking for an amazing Manager, Port Operations to fill this role, which is based in our Doral office. This position manages and establishes the relationships with vendors and local authorities to ensure required in port services to accommodate company vessels are appropriate arranged for and effectively executed from a timing, quality, and cost perspective per company requirements. This position will manage required in port services and associated costs for company vessels calling at unique ports across the globe. The incumbent will work with local service providers, vendors, and coordinate with local authorities, while considering local rules, regulations, and customs to ensure vessel operations are conducted timely and effectively within the set out budgetary constraints. This is a highly dynamic position, where made plans and arrangements are constantly subject to change and will require constant involvement and direction to drive the best outcome. The incumbent will drive vendor performance per company set standards and interact with the various departments within the organization to ensure their specific interests in these operations are validated and covered. This position will require strong interpersonal skill, to establish dependable partnerships for the benefit of the company's success and profitability.

**Responsibilities**
+ Ensure all activities in the ports supporting the company vessels in the assigned regions are performed within set guidelines, performance standards, and budgetary restraints.
+ Verify performance of the various port operations against the departmental objectives and as required, analyze, and prepare reports to verify effectiveness and drive required improvement and implement initiatives.
+ Responsible for the coordination of vendor services according to contracts, and agreements, to meet company requirements.
+ Assist in the annual budget preparation, process invoices for port expenses and support a monthly financial review process driving operational initiatives for expense reduction.
+ Participate in the planning, development and management of port operation programs and vessel deployment and itineraries.
+ Develop professional relationships with local port communities and their representatives; represent the company at local organized meetings, public functions, and events.
+ Responsible for regional performance of the port operations of US and global destinations.
**Requirements**
+ Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
+ BS or BA in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, logistics. Equivalent work experience in related area, Senior Marine expert with shoreside expertise of a shipping company, incl. port operation.
+ 5+ years' experience in a management or leadership role with progressively more responsibility.
+ Prior experience in port-related management and/or marine operations, preferably passenger vessel operations.
+ This position is considered Hybrid and follows the Company's schedule of three days in the office per week (Tuesday - Thursday)
