Job Description
Plans, organizes, develops, and directs the overall operation of the Dietary Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations governing the center and as directed by the Administrator. Responsible for maintaining the Dietary Department in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner and provide nutritionally adequate meals in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:**
1. Interviews patient/family to obtain food preferences, habits, diet history and other pertinent nutrition information.
2. Completes appropriate clinical documentation in the medical record pertaining to the nutritional needs of the patient in accordance with the patient comprehensive assessment and care plan to comply with regulatory guidelines.
3. Prepares for visit from Registered Dietitian and comply with recommendations as outlined in company policies and procedures.
4. Reviews regular and therapeutic diet orders to ensure they are served as prescribed and in accordance to the menu.
5. Reviews and documents patient's cultural backgrounds that may affect food consumption.
6. Monitors freezer/refrigerator temperatures in accordance with established procedures and make certain appropriate documentation is maintained.
7. Conducts inventory, purchases food/supplies and monitors receipt for compliance with organization's standard of practice and regulatory guidelines.
8. Maintains the proper storage, preparation, distribution and serving of food under sanitary conditions in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
9. Supervises tray line service and conducts tray audits to ensure they are served as prescribed and in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
10. Follows procedures for serving partner meals to comply with company policies and procedures.
11. Supervises proper procedures for cleaning all kitchen equipment to include but not limited to carts, tables, counters, ice machine, buckets, blender, mixer, meat slicer, freezer, refrigerator, stove, oven, steamer, garbage disposal, dish machine, coffee/ tea maker, and steam table.

13. Monitors food production to ensure meals are prepared and served to maintain nutritive value in compliance with regulatory guidelines.

**MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:**
Should possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent.
**MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:**
Two (2) years' experience in a supervisory capacity in a skilled nursing care center, hospital or other related medical center.
**MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:**

Responsibilities
+ Safely operate a commercial vehicle and diligently perform all duties in a safe manner, including vehicle inspections.
+ Efficiently manage customer base within established route with an average of 50+ stops per day.
+ Use application based handheld system to key transactions and manage customer data.

**What You Will Do:**
The Assistant Site Manager supports the Site Manager in the daily supervision of the sanitation crew, which entails the daily management of operations.
**Job duties include:**
+ Monitor, measure, and report on operational issues and opportunities, and assists the Site Manager develop and implement improvement plans.Communicate with the Site Manager daily to report accidents, downtime, damage, and other important plant issues.
+ Communicate with Corporate office as needed regarding items such as nightly logs, payroll, chemical and supply orders, timesheets, etc.
+ Complete weekly internal safety audits on staff as well as equipment to ensure we are providing our team members with a safe work environment.
+ Set, monitor, motivate, and track specific goals for the sanitation crew regarding working safe, clean, and on time.
+ Manage and develop direct reporting staff, including, but not limited to, interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, motivating, evaluating, setting, and adjusting of hours of work, handling team member complaints and grievances, disciplining team members, planning and directing the work of team members, etc.
+ Ensure compliance with all internal company procedures and policies including Technical Services, Human Resources, Accounting, IT, and general customer service. Comply with procedures set forth in team member handbook, safety handbook, cleaning procedure and Corporate Authorities manual.
+ Assist Site Manager in implementation of our training programs including safety training and ERP.
+ Coordinate responses to any governmental or customer deficiencies.
+ Report and investigate all accidents.
+ Monitor treatment of injured team members and assist worker's compensation in providing restricted duty work.
+ Serve as a liaison with customers.Attend sanitation meetings (e.g., production, USDA, audits, etc.) on behalf of the company with the customer.
+ Communicate customer responsibilities required for sanitation of the facility (e.g., maintenance needs, water pressure/temperature, customer provided supplies, etc.).
+ Submit corrective actions procedures to customer when necessary to remedy issues.
+ Follow-up with customers to ensure that problems are resolved to their satisfaction.
+ Act as liaison with regulatory agencies as needed. Supported by Human Resources, Payroll and Technical Services with any government agencies (e.g., OSHA, ICE, EEOC, NLRB, DOL, etc.) matters.
