**What you'll do:**
**Position Overview:**
The Senior Service Sales Engineer - Brownfield Datacenter Service Sales Specialist is responsible for driving service revenue growth within existing and new, operational large scale single or multi-tenant data centers by identifying, positioning and selling Eaton's electrical services portfolio. This role serves as the technical commercial lead for brownfield environments, owning customer engagement from opportunity identification through scope definition, proposal development and order capture.
The position focuses on life cycle services for installed electrical infrastructure-ensuring reliability, uptime, safety and compliance across gray space and white space assets in live data center environments.
**In this function you will:**
- Own service sales strategy for existing data center campuses operating in live environments
- Identify and qualify Brownfield opportunities related to:
o Preventive & predictive maintenance (PM, IR, torque, relay testing)
o Emergency response, troubleshooting and corrective repair
o Switchgear, breaker, ATS, UPS and generator modernization
o Controls, protection, relay and monitoring upgrades
o Engineering studies (arc flash, coordination, short circuit, load flow)
- Proactively expand annual service agreements and multi year service programs tied to uptime and risk reduction
- Act as the primary technical sales interface for data center operators, facility managers, and data center ownership teams
- Lead job walks, site assessments and Brownfield discovery sessions while facilities remain energized and operational
- Translate complex electrical conditions into clear, value-based service scopes aligned to customer risk, uptime and compliance drivers
- Maintain accurate quoting activity in Salesforce and deliver monthly sales forecasts
- Develop and present customer proposals in collaboration with the Technical Application Support team (TAS), ensuring clarity and alignment on all opportunities
- Collaborate with Eaton Engineering Services, field service engineers (FSE's), DOC teams and Project Operations to ensure executable solutions
**Qualifications:**

- Minimum three (3) years of experience with Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or seven (7) years of field service or electrical industry experience with high school diploma

**Position Summary:**
The Service Sales Specialist position will hold responsibility for developing new business throughout the Americas for Bio- Techne's Analytical Solutions Division, managed from the Bio-Techne Minneapolis headquarters, and for achieving sales quota for instrument service contracts and related service products. This includes responsibilities in finding new protein analysis instrument opportunities for Simple Western, Maurice, MFI, Milo, and Single Cell Western (Milo), and supporting service sales of applicable instruments in partnership with our inside and field sales team. By working closely with your sales colleagues and marketing you will source new business from new leads and prospects as well as existing customers. In the position you will be expected to develop and maintain a high level of academic and pharmaceutical market knowledge.
In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a commission plan based on individual performance and in accordance with company policy.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities:**
**Source and develop new business:**
+ Under the direction of the Sales Manager, develop and drive new/existing business opportunities throughout North America.
+ Use a selection of channels in order to identify and qualify new business opportunities, including inbound lead follow up, outbound warm and cold calls, emails, Teams, and social media.
+ Look to implement new and innovative strategies in order to identify new business and revenue streams.
+ Keep all channels of communication open with internal and external sales teams, lead generation and marketing within Bio-Techne.
+ Maintain awareness and knowledge of marketplace and competitors. Report findings and potential pipeline through an agreed upon cadence (weekly, monthly, quarterly) to the Sales Manager.
**Instrument service sales:**
+ Responsible for achieving specified service sales quote in assigned territory.

+ Provide accurate sales forecasting in consultation with supervisor and field sales teams.
+ Identify process improvements and work with Sales Manager to prioritize accordingly.
**Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in a biological based subject. Immunology coursework and/or experience is a big plus. Laboratory experience desired but not required.
+ An understanding of the Life Science Research Reagents Market and Bio-Techne portfolio
+ Demonstrable experience of working within a sales environment with a strong commercial focus.

  • Promote company service products (Service Ladder) by understanding failure modes and working to offer customers service products options that can mitigate downtime and/or failure of the equipment to maxamize the COO while delivering a positive customer experience to the assigned account base within a geographic region, focusing on all markets inlcuding: metallurgy and materials, architectural glass, energy and energy physics, food production technology, space and rocket manufacturing technology, aerospace, automotive and electric vehicle, freeze drying technology, silicon carbide technology, high tech ceramics, and more.

  • Develop and implement a vision and a method to expand the level of business done in a geographical region which includes current clients as well as new opportunities for the Leybold products and services.

  • Delight customers by providing outstanding technical support, service, and product selection assistance.

  • Responsible for maintaining company property (company car, computer, office equipment, customer demo/loaner products, consignment stock, etc.) that is in his/her control, and or at his/her customer site.

  • Has primary responsibility for selling the portfolio of the Leybold Services Product range.

  • Communicate, collaborate, and support equipment sales team in carrying out operational reviews at accounts to secure repeat orders and present service as a differentiator to successfully penetrate new business.

  • Prepares materials for presentations and makes service sales presentations as needed.

  • Primarily focused on developing new business from customers that have not had their pumps serviced, are lost, pumps due for service, newly installed eqiupment or competitive equipment.

  • Analyze the current potential needs of assigned customers and communicate closely with internal teams to provide a one-stop vacuum after-sales service solutions.
