Twitter will make more additions to its verification system

Elon Musk has fired three Twitter engineers who have publicly criticized him on the social media platform.

In one instance, Musk announced the firing over Twitter.

Another former employee said he was sacked after openly chastising Musk.

Engineer Eric Frohnhoefer, who worked on the Twitter app for the Android mobile operating system, reposted and commented on one of Musk's tweets.

He said Musk's knowledge of a technical aspect of Twitter's app was "wrong."

Musk replied by asking Frohnhoefer to explain, then tweeting: "Twitter is super slow on Android." "What have you done to fix that?"

After trying to express his thoughts in a series of tweets, Frohnhoefer was asked why he hadn't shared his feedback with his new boss privately.

The engineer, who had been with the firm for over eight years, said, "Maybe he should ask questions privately." Maybe use Slack or email."

Musk tweeted that Frohnhoefer had been fired on Monday, November 14, morning.

Frohnhoefer retweeted it with a saluting emoji, which many employees did when they were removed earlier this month.

Twitter and Frohnhoefer did not immediately reply to requests for comment on his status.

Another engineer, Ben Leib, was sacked after opposing Musk.

Leib, who worked at the social media giant for a decade, was sacked on Sunday, November 13.

Many employees are still worried that Musk axed half of the company's 7,000-plus staff, including the entire top leadership, within a week of his $44 billion takeover.

The billionaire also quickly altered the corporate culture.
