**What you'll do.**
Set the strategic direction for fleet maintenance, collaborating with various departments (operations, engineering, finance, safety, environmental, etc.), and identifying innovative technologies and methods to improve asset reliability. This is a highly influential role impacting the entire organization's operational efficiency and profitability.
Lead a team of senior reliability professionals and strategists, providing mentorship, and training, and ensuring they effectively support regional and plant leadership in achieving asset performance goals. This includes managing performance, setting goals, and fostering a collaborative work environment. The union environment experience is crucial for navigating potential labor relations complexities.
Develop and implement reliability processes, including preventative, predictive, condition-based maintenance, and corrective maintenance strategies, root cause analysis (RCA) methodologies, and key performance indicator (KPI) tracking. This requires strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of reliability engineering principles (FMEA, RCFA, RCM).
Drive the adoption of predictive maintenance technologies, developing the necessary data infrastructure (CMMS, analytics platforms), and ensuring seamless integration across the organization.
The role involves significant interaction with budgeting processes, justifying capital expenditures related to asset reinvestment, and optimizing maintenance costs while maximizing asset lifespan and performance.
Success hinges on effectively collaborating with various stakeholders, including regional directors, plant managers, maintenance managers, global Manufacturing engineering, other business leaders, and skilled trades across multiple business units. This requires strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
**You'll have.**
+ Bachelors Degree
+ The ideal candidate needs a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, business acumen and direct operations/production maintenance experience.
+ The candidate should also have a strong background in asset management, reliability engineering, and maintenance processes, with a focus on minimizing downtime, understanding and increasing asset life cycles, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
+ A deep understanding of reliability engineering principles, tools, and methodologies (FMEA, RCFA, RCM, PMO), experience with predictive maintenance technologies, and strong analytical skills for data analysis and interpretation.
+ Proficiency with IBM Maximo is necessary as all maintenance activities are to be documented there.

• Collaborate with a small team (~5 employees) to support platform engineering efforts
• Integrate SharePoint and Splunk into service platform workflows
• Support cross-domain capabilities and transition to classified environment work
• Partner closely with an Agile Coach and Atlassian expert to ensure smooth deployments
• Provide technical leadership and credibility around Jira platform best practices
Contribute to the consolidation of previous service management platforms
Compensation: $55-65/HR Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA
