**Job Summary**
There is one position available in the Power Delivery Standards Department for Dominion Energy South Carolina in Cayce. The position will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidate's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Responsibilities include:
+ Electric substation steel structure development/design, electric transmission line steel structure development/design, foundation development/design
+ Soil boring analysis
+ Qualifying vendors and material for substation and transmission
+ Product assignments
+ Equipment resolutions
+ Bill of material development
+ Material delivery coordination
+ Coordination and working with Operating departments, and overall engineering/construction support.
+ Other responsibilities include: analysis of existing substation and transmission steel structures and foundations, material/vendor analysis, and learning and assuming job responsibilities from experienced departmental staff.
+ This position will engage in daily communication with substation designers, transmission designers, construction crews, field operations, and other departments across Dominion Energy to be successful.

**Engineer**
- 2+ years of relevant civil engineering experience and a valid certification of the FE

**What You'll Do:**
Perform engineering and design work related to the construction and maintenance of transmission lines under direct to moderate supervision. Duties and responsibilities include (but not limited to):
+ Assist in the development of specifications, guidelines, and standards for transmission line design, structure and foundation design, construction, and maintenance.
+ Assist in the development of specifications, standards, and testing procedures for all transmission material.
+ Assist in the evaluation and approval of transmission material and suppliers.
+ Work with Supply Chain to assist in managing Transmission material blankets and supplier relationships.
+ Assist in the rollout and implementation of new standards and best practices to internal and external stakeholders.
+ Provide engineering support to the transmission regional teams in the execution of the capital work plan.
+ Basic knowledge and application of NESC (National Electrical Safety Code), IEEE publications related to all transmission material and construction, and current industry standards.
+ Basic working knowledge and application of transmission line engineering catenary theory and structure load development.
+ Basic working knowledge and application of transmission construction methods and practices and cost estimating.
+ Assist with the solving unique engineering issues related to construction and maintenance.
+ Apply basics of electrical transmission systems (e.g., grounding, shielding, insulation, EMF) in the development of standards.

***This Engineering role can be filled at the Entry, Mid-level or Senior Engineer level. Entry-Level - $85,000
Ranges are per year based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401K.
Responsible for performing engineering and technical tasks, under direct supervision, in support of nuclear plant operations.
Assure all engineering products prepared are in accordance with applicable safety analyses, industry codes, and all regulatory requirements.
Perform engineering and technical tasks as assigned by supervision
Support engineering work functions.
All other job assignments and/or duties pursuant to company policy or as directed by management to include but not limited to: (Emergency Response duties and/or coverage, Department duty coverage and/or call out, and positions outside of department in support of outage activities etc.)
