SAIC is seeking Field Service Engineers (FSE) to support the Medusa Sustainment project, which is a U.S. Air Force solution for defense against small unmanned aerial systems (s-UAS). The Medusa System of Systems is the U.S. Air Force's solution for defense against small unmanned aerial systems (s-UAS) utilizing a government-owned Medusa Command and Control (Medusa C2), which allows for a plug-and-play selection of Passive and Active Sensors, Electronic and Kinetic Weapon Systems, as well as the insertion of a variety of Fusion, Association, Threat and Combat ID Algorithms. The Medusa C2 supports fixed base, portable, mounted and handheld operations. The Medusa Team supports the United States Air Force C-sUAS programs worldwide.
**J** **ob Responsibilities:**
+ Provide field engineering and technical support services to maintain and sustain fielded C-sUAS systems, equipment, and software at all identified locations.
+ Install, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot a program of record software application and integrated radios and hardware components.
+ Perform troubleshooting, fault isolation, and repair to the LRU level for all fielded systems authorized at his/her level before elevating to the next higher-level of maintenance.
+ Prepare systems for operation, including system software loading, operator training, and final system operational checks.
+ Assist in coordinating the packaging and Return Material Authorization process of non-mission capable systems or equipment to the next higher-level maintenance facility (i.e., SAIC AF C-sUAS Regional Support Center (RSC) in Huntsville, Alabama).
+ Provide technical support for Airmen both on-site and telephonically.
+ Conduct training as needed.
+ Support the program Help Desk as required.
+ Conduct scheduled equipment inventories.
+ Install software maintenance releases and/or hardware upgrades.
+ Participate in weekly FSE meetings (prepare site status slides).
**Qualifications**
+ Security+ certification.
+ Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
+ Experience with tactical networks and troubleshooting.
+ In field operator training.
+ Troubleshooting of computer systems and networks.
+ Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environments.
+ Able to work independently and efficiently with short term deadlines.
+ Willingness to travel (10%).

The Field Engineer (FE) works directly for the Superintendent and is expected to exercise judgment and discretion in making recommendations, implementing policies and procedures and handling a wide variety of matters in the field. The position is normally, but not necessarily preparatory to becoming an Office Engineer or Project Engineer. The primary purpose of the position is to proactively aid the Superintendent in front-line field management. In addition, the position requires a considerable amount of work, responsibility, persistence, problem solving ability and good attitude, because the FE is responsible for the majority of the layout on a project, supervision of trade workers and subcontractor employees, as well as lift drawings, safety, and quality control responsibilities. Although the majority of a Field Engineer's time will be spent in the field, there are some duties which will require work in the field office. This is a safety sensitive position.
**Position Qualifications:**
+ Must have completed a Summer 2025 internship opportunity with Hensel Phelps.
+ A 4 -year degree in Civil, Structural, Architecture or Construction Management.
+ Valid Driver's License.
+ Strong communication skills.
+ Computer software - Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel-based templates, ProjectSight, Primavera and AutoDesk Suite.
**Essential Duties:**
+ Project layout (surveying) in conformance with design and contract documents.
+ Check concrete forms for accuracy and adequacy of construction, including all embedded items, before placement of concrete.
+ Perform production trend analysis for quantities of work in place and report for the weekly and monthly schedule and cost control reports.

+ Experience/familiarity with the family of Software Defined Radio (SDR) communications, to include but not limited to, the Leader Radio, Manpack, and Combat Net Radio (CNR) Tactical radios and radio requirements
