Average weekly earnings among Irish workers have increased by 4.7 percent over the past year.
It reached €969.12 in the first three months of this year, according to new data from the Central Statistics Office (CSO).
Average hourly earnings also rose by 4.5 percent, from €28.54 to €29.82,.
The average hours worked increased by 0.3 percent to 32.5 hours per week.
Over the past five years, average hourly wages in Ireland have increased significantly by 24 percent, from €24.05 to €29.82.
The Arts, Entertainment, and Recreation sector experienced the largest annual percentage increase in weekly earnings, up 8.9 percent from €595.67 to €648.95.

The construction sector experienced an 8.5 percent increase, from €886.66 to €961.97.
IT workers continue to be the highest-paid in Ireland, with average weekly earnings of €1,786.80 in the information and communications sector.
In the public sector, average weekly earnings increased by 4 percent in the first quarter, rising from €1,103.55 to €1,147.50.
An Garda Síochána, Ireland’s national police service, reported the highest average weekly earnings in the public sector at €1,569.22.
The Education sector recorded the highest average hourly earnings at €46.51.
