Tech company Scrumconnect Consulting will expand its operations across North England, creating 150 jobs in Newcastle.

The firm collaborates with government departments to modernize IT systems and enhance digital services.

It aims to support its work with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

The expansion has been deemed a "strategic move" by CEO Praveen Karadiguddi and aligns with the region's devolution deal.

With plans to increase its workforce from 300 to 1,000 within four years, Scrumconnect will establish an office at Portland House on Newcastle's New Bridge Street West.

At least 75 new positions will be permanent.
