Apple has agreed to pay $25 million to settle allegations of discriminatory hiring practices during 2018 and 2019.

The settlement comes after an investigation by the Department of Justice and resolves claims Apple engaged in a pattern of discriminatory practices.

The firm favored immigrant workers seeking permanent resident status over US candidates for certain jobs, thereby violating the Immigration and Nationality Act.
