Protomet’s $25 Million Investment Will Generate 250 Jobs

New jobs written on sticky note

Protomet Corporation will invest $25 million to expand its operations in East Tennessee, creating 250 new jobs.

Governor Bill Lee of Tennessee, alongside Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter, made the announcement.

The expansion involves acquiring and upgrading the former Albahealth building in Rockwood, where Protomet plans to establish new engineering and manufacturing facilities.

The new facility in Roane County will be a state-of-the-art site complementing Protomet’s existing manufacturing operations in nearby Loudon and Anderson counties.

Protomet Corporation, headquartered in Loudon, Tennessee, serves various industries, including the automotive, boating, and homeland security sectors.
