What You'll Do (Starting Out)
This is real, hands-on manufacturing work - the same work every skilled machinist here started with:
- Deburr and remove sharp edges from machined parts
- Clean, polish, grind, buff, and finish production components
- Perform final assembly, leak testing, and touch-up painting
- Package parts to customer requirements
- Follow written work instructions and quality standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area
It's detailed, repetitive at times, and it matters: the parts you finish go into aircraft, defense systems, and power plants. Quality here is not optional - which is exactly why it's the right place to learn the trade.
What We're Looking For
- No manufacturing experience required - we train. (If you do have shop or finishing experience, even better.)
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance - this is the #1 thing we hire for

The specialist milling machinist is responsible for preparing and operating plain or universal, horizontal, and vertical milling machines to produce precision components. Core duties include:
+ Setting up machines and selecting, mounting, and aligning specialized attachments or custom tooling.
+ Planning the machining sequence, determining the number of passes, and choosing the optimal set‑up method.
+ Computing and adjusting cutting speeds, feed rates, and depth of cut to meet exact tolerances.
+ Executing advanced milling operations such as compound‑angle cuts, contouring, boring angular holes, helical and spiral milling, serrating, and cutting gears, splines, honing, and keyways.
+ Interpreting blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications; using hand tools and precision measuring instruments; performing standard shop calculations; and marking out stock material for machining.
+ Monitoring and verifying product quality using statistical process control or other quality‑control procedures.

- Experience with Value Analysis and Value Engineering techniques.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing new manufacturing processes.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- Master's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
- Leadership experience in industries such as aerospace, medical devices, or semiconductor manufacturing.
- Lean Six Sigma Belt/Certification.
- Base salary ranging from $180,000 to $205,000 USD annually, depending on experience.
- 20% annual bonus target.
- 3 weeks PTO + 1 week sick time + company holidays.

- Provide technical and leadership guidance to the manufacturing engineering team.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop, standardize, and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring alignment with production priorities and business objectives.
- Drive initiatives to improve quality, reduce costs, and implement advanced manufacturing technologies such as automation and mechanization.
- Oversee timely release of engineering documentation and technical processes.
- Partner with operations leadership to meet design, build, and test milestones for complex programs.
- Ensure robust engineering fundamentals and processes are applied consistently to maintain product integrity and process capability.
- Develop team goals, foster professional growth, and manage roles and accountability across the department.
- Allocate resources to support new and advanced manufacturing processes.
- Lead root cause analyses for new and sustaining products.
- Manage departmental budgets, staffing, and capital equipment planning.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety across all functional areas.
