Description: What You Will Be Doing

Responsible for the day to day execution of F35 machining operations for PMM, Autodrills, Flex Trac/Countersink robots and Shim Cell. Will be responsible for building best in class machining organization for precision milling, drilling and boring operations. Technical support in relation to performance expectations and cultural norms demonstrating full spectrum leadership, machine tool functionality, volumetric compensation systems, spindle head interchanges, geometric translation, cutter set ups and balancing, Blum Laser Tool Verification, Tool Changers, Fire Suppression Systems, minor machine maintenance, thermal compensation methods, shuttle and carrier systems, material handling methods and equipment procedures, product key characteristics and measurement techniques, critical process requirements. Will be required to conduct duties of safety agent for Loading/Unloading of components and tools. Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in US as a permanent resident. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate various machining equipment, including but not limited to: steel saws, buffers, threaders, various drilling machines, press brakes, plate cutters, machining centers, gas or fiber lasers, benders, and various types of computer numerically controlled (CNC) equipment.
• Read blueprints or process sheets for specification such as dimensions and tolerances, tooling instructions, feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cuts and cutting tools.
• Select proper equipment, including tooling fixtures and accessories to complete a task based on established procedures.
• Calculate figures and apply basic mathematical functions including fractions and decimals to adjust machine settings to provide the best quality part with the greatest efficiency. Utilize measuring tools to verify product quality upon completion.
• Load and unload raw material or completed product. May require the use of an overhead hoist.
• Perform and document total preventative maintenance (TPM).
• Support 5S/workplace organization goals of the department and offers suggestions and makes improvements that assist in achieving the department's performance board metrics.

The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 47,500.00 - 88,100.00

Responsibilities
+ Ensure the machining lines operate efficiently and continuously.
+ Conduct continuous improvement projects and lean manufacturing initiatives.
+ Troubleshoot and modify CNC machines and PLCs.
+ Perform time studies, labor studies, and defect reduction studies.
+ Implement process control changes and cost-saving projects.
+ Optimize machining processes and CNC programming.
+ Support the axel line as part of the drivetrain implementation.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in CNC Machining and PLC Programming.
+ Experience in troubleshooting and modifying CNC and PLC systems.
+ Strong understanding of machining processes and CNC programming, preferably in engine manufacturing.
+ Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
+ Experience with selection and optimization of cutting tools.
+ Ability to read part drawings and understand GD&T.
+ Experience with cycle time and quality improvements.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or equivalent professional automotive experience.
+ Strong written and oral communication skills for creating technical reports and documentation.
+ Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to work independently and hands-on as needed.
+ Experience working in a production environment with Production, Maintenance, and Quality personnel.
+ Ability to develop and manage schedules to meet challenging deadlines.
+ Experience managing small to medium-scale capital projects.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Inventor.
+ Self-starter and team player with a positive attitude.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.05 - $50.00/hr.
