About the Role:

The Production Support role is the daily facilitator for preparing all products needed for fulfillment. The production team must work at high levels of production efficiency, safety, and hygiene. The Production Support is expected to follow, maintain, and hold the team accountable to standard work methods and safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

In this role you will:

  • Communicate regularly with Production Leads and the team
  • Collaborate to meet production goals daily, weekly, and monthly
  • Open and close workstations using standard procedures

  • Adapt to various production tasks as required
  • Use daily checklists for smooth facility operations
  • Manage Biotrack tags and batch stickers
  • Operate machinery as per the production schedule
  • Approach various parts of the production process such as mix ingredients, weigh, and apply coating solutions
  • Follow packaging protocols such as managing Biotrack (seed-to-sale system) tags, create batch stickers, and operate packaging machinery
  • Meet packaging KPIs and assist with tasks during production breaks

The Production Support role is an entry-level position that provides support to the beverage manufacturing processes. The primary responsibilities of the Production Support role are to set up, adjust, maintain, and configure equipment to build pallets of beverage products for storage in the warehouse and shipment to customers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Safely and efficiently start up the automated and manual portions of the Variety Pack Line, Direct Ready Pallet production, Re-packing production, and similar material handling processes and equipment.
• Conduct visual inspections and complete documentation during the run to ensure defect-free work.
• May be called upon when a need arises to backfill the production lines.
• Utilize pick tickets and receiving documentation to accurately choose the products for the VP DRP line.
• Build stable, well-built, and accurate pallet loads for shipment - automated and manual.
• Properly operate the automated and manual wrappers, which circle the pallet load with a roll of plastic wrap until secure.
• Ensure item pick accuracy and safety of products to prevent damage.
• Understand pallet layers, heights, and counting methods used when working with pallets of product.
• Read and understand product descriptions, packaging and pick ticket messages.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment with regards to cleaning and clearing them of debris and materials.
• Verify case combination and size according to schedule.
• Consistently meet established company production and service level standards and record hourly production data on the whiteboard or media provided at the line.
• Utilize warehouse processes to minimize damage and other areas of waste.
• Inform the supervisor of any differences in case quantity and/or product description.
• Must follow the work rules at all times as given in the Employee Handbook entitled, "Welcome to National BevPak."
• GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and FDA (Food and Drug Administration) compliance MUST be adhered to at all times.
• Keep the work area clean at all times.
• Shut down all equipment at the end of shift, if the line is going down for the day.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Minimum required qualifications:

Job Description:

L3Harris is looking to fill a Production Support role in Norfolk, VA. This individual will be responsible for the interpretation of Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to support the provision of accurate pricing for incoming quote requests.

Essential Functions:

  • Interpret and analyze RFQs to determine the necessary requirements for pricing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and verify information needed for accurate pricing.
  • Utilize drawings, technical manuals, and other provided documents to understand the scope and specifics of the quote requests.
  • Prepare and provide detailed pricing estimates in response to incoming quote requests.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in the preparation of quotes.
  • Maintain accurate records of all RFQ interpretations and pricing decisions.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure understanding.
  • Office-based with occasional travel to client sites or manufacturing facilities as needed.
Qualifications:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate's degree with 0 to 2 years of

• Thorough understanding of the requirements outlined in RFQs, utilizing drawings, technical manuals, and other documents provided in the request for quote.
  • Proven experience in interpreting RFQs and preparing pricing estimates.
  • Strong understanding of technical drawings and manuals.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for documentation and analysis.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific standards and practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
