SENIOR TECHNICAL EDITOR
Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled **Sr. Technical Editor** to join our team, supporting the Department of the Navy (DoN). The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe products, and have prior experience in database management. This individual will play a key role in compiling and refining technical information, monitoring and reporting schedules, preparing professional deliverables, and ensuring compliance with government reporting standards
Key Responsibilities:
+ Compile, review, edit, and format technical documentation, reports, and presentations to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to standards.
+ Collaborate with government customers to gather, organize, and refine technical information.
+ Coordinate with government personnel across commands to schedule and prepare time-sensitive briefings with Navy activities.
+ Regularly monitor assignment schedules and provide updates to program managers.
+ Edit recurring deliverables, including monthly status reports, presentations, and technical documents.
+ Utilize desktop publishing tools for documentation design, development, and formatting.
+ Ensure high attention to detail, including grammar, spelling, syntax, and compliance with style guides.
+ Serve as a Media Transfer Agent (MTA), managing secure data transfers, generating transmittals, maintaining deliverable logs, and updating document inventory systems for Navy customers.
+ Ensure deliverables meet specified deadlines and security requirements.

The likely salary range for this position is $81,349 - $109,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

**Responsibilities:**
The primary role for this position is the development and sustainment of cable and wiring Functional Flow Diagrams (FFD) for an Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM). Additionally, this position requires the employee train other Technical Editors and Writers on the tools to develop and sustain FFDs. Secondary roles include authoring, rewrites and/or edits of technical documents such as descriptive and procedural data and parts catalogs for maintenance and user manuals. The manuals must be clear and concise to effectively communicate technical specifications and instructions to a wide range of audiences. Acquires expertise by engaging with product developers, monitoring the effectiveness of production tools and techniques, referencing technical specifications, blueprints, engineering diagrams and drawings, and industry publications. Uses applicable drawings, sketches, diagrams, charts and other engineering data. When necessary, prepare materials for illustration. This position is a component in the quality review process.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ 5 Years experience with Bachelors; 3 Years experience with Masters; 1 year experience with PHD
+ Advanced understanding of core aircraft principles, concepts, practices, and standards essential to military aircraft maintenance

The qualified candidate will support large-system implementation efforts in the Child Support public-sector domain and may be assigned to either a quality assurance engagement or a project management engagement depending on project needs. **Your future duties and responsibilities:**
This position supports the NSJ programs Business Unit (BU) within CGI Federal. The Senior Technical Analyst position provides a depth and breadth of knowledge in all areas of IT with the most in depth in software solutions architecture, application development and maintenance/operations, and application modernization, with a focus in Agile/DevOps/AI methodologies and tools. Other areas of focus may include data analytics and architecture, cloud services, ITSM, AI, and cyber security. Responsibilities include conducting technical reviews of IT opportunities in the BU pipeline, draft/lead technical content for RFIs/RFPs, provide briefing and other materials to be presented at both internal and client meetings, and prepare and deliver detailed documentation for executive level meetings. Act as the primary BU interface to the CGI Federal Emerging Technologies Practice (ETP) for identifying required expertise. Specific responsibilities may include:
Provide technical expertise for cloud and legacy based software, cloud migrations, 3rd party cloud tools and maintenance, cloud services and tools configuration, performance tuning for applications hosted in the cloud, and general understanding of services and tools on the AWS and MS Azure platforms.
Provide knowledge and expertise as it pertains to Redhat OCP, Jboss, Jenkins, Ansible, and a good level of experience in any scripting language
Provide technical leadership for responses to RFIs, RFPs, and customer briefings. Review and respond to RFPs and RFIs as an individual or as part of a proposal team.
Provide expert support, analysis and research into complex problems and processes relating to technical subject matter. Review stakeholder requests and research other topics as required, and provide assessments and recommendations based on knowledge of current and emerging technologies and best business practices.

**Required qualifications to be successful in this role:**
Experience in capture, solution development and/or IT project delivery to Federal Government clients
Experience with CSP platforms AWS and Microsoft Azure
Experience with Redhat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP)
Experience with Jenkins, Github, Gitlab, and python
Experience in developing solutions and delivering in Agile and DevOps environments
Proven ability to work in a team environment with the ability to drive key client communication and expectations
Ability to work independently and lead projects end to end
Strong oral and written communication, leadership and presentation skills
Ability to work under time constraints and produce deliverables in a timely manner
Analytical skills to propose and evaluate alternative technical solutions
Ability to work across functional areas in resolving specific process issues
Experience understanding and documenting technical requirements
Experience engaging clients to determine requirements, understand business functionality, and support functions in client facing meetings
Ability to foster positive business relationships
Advanced skills in use of MS Visio, Word, Excel and PowerPoint as tools to effectively document work effort
Agile certification a plus (e.g., SAFe, CSM, or PMI ACP)
