**About the Role**
Canon USA Regional Technical Specialists support Regional Service Directors as the technical voice on regional priorities.
**Your Impact**
- Provides on-going technical, on-site and phone support to regional Canon USA direct technicians and applicable service agents to troubleshoot highly complex problems including hardware, firmware and workflow.

HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required, plus 4 to 6 years of related experience.

- Printer knowledge and testing and/or diagnostic applications.
- Ability to achieve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Ability to create solutions for high-level problems.
- Good writing, speaking and listening skills.
- Exhibits initiative and self-starting behaviors.
- Understands computer science principles, mechanical, electrical and electronic theory, and computer equipment technologies.
- Generally available for work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Required to take all necessary steps to obtain security and/or other clearances required by customers to enter the customers' premises.
- Technical certifications such as A+, Network+, MCSE desired.

Job Description
Our Technical Support Representative opportunity would see you supporting a leading medical device manufacturer's software update needs on equipment based in hospitals, pharmacies and other clinical settings. The current product line being supported is an _automated medication dispensing system._
The part-time, as-needed schedule for this opening will primarily be scheduled service appointments averaging 30 hours per week.
This opening has potential to grow into supporting the dispensing system's field service demand by traveling to customer sites as needed.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Install software patch remotely and verify proper functionality post upgrade
+ Responds to, evaluates and prioritizes assigned service orders and customer inquiries pertaining to hardware, software, networking, customer service and other computer-related technologies
+ Provides quality technical customer service in a professional, responsive, empathetic, reliable, patient, resourceful and assured manner
+ Effectively documenting all steps taken to service the request in the appropriate tracking system
+ Handles problem recognition, isolation, resolution, and follow-up for routine customer problems, escalating and/or collaborating to solve more complex issues to advanced team members or department management
+ Obtains and maintains proper vendor credentialing to service all customers in their respective coverage area as needed
+ Sets scheduled availability within systems so that notification of new work can be received
**Job Requirements:**
+ Associate degree in biomedical or computer related field or 1-3 years of equivalent related technical support of PC experience preferred. High school diploma and 1 year of related experience required
+ Must have intermediate trouble shooting abilities in the disciplines of electronics, mechanics and electromechanical systems
+ Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable method of personal transportation to assigned sites
+ Strong communication skills and ability to provide exceptional customer support required
+ This position requires a considerable amount of pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, and must be able to lift up to 70 lbs
+ Ability to clear hospital vendor credentialing requirements, including proof of vaccination status, required

**I. Job Summary**
Under supervision, manages CE equipment and inventory. Provides entry-level technical support for software and hardware computing. Assists in troubleshooting to readily identify problems and/or technical issues and escalates to the appropriate staff for resolution.
**II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
A. Technical Troubleshooting
+ Provides basic functional support of applications, isolates issues, and distributes the ticket to the appropriate team for resolution.
+ Under supervision, isolates issues by reproducing the incident, identifying invalid data within the database, and/or tracing transactions through infrastructure to identify failure points.
+ Partners with the digital team to research and identify the root cause. Tracks and trends chronic and ongoing issues to highlight technological gaps affecting business continuity
+ Facilitates the resolution of tickets passed on to any Tier 3 support group, working with external vendors as needed.
+ Creates and updates Support and User Guides.
+ Assists in post-development support (including client installations).
+ Provides management ticket reports, Pareto Report, and various others.
+ Participates in the creation and modification of system or application monitors.
B. Inventory Control and Distribution
+ Partners with CSM to maintain a comprehensive view of CE hardware across the enterprise
+ Coordinates with Talent Acquisition and L&LD to ensure timely equipment distribution for new hires (onsite and remote)
+ Monitors equipment request systems and manages shipment of replacement hardware to remote employees
+ Maintains adequate inventory levels across sites to support onsite replacements
+ Tracks employee terminations and partners with CE Supervisors and HR to recover or escalate unreturned equipment
+ Oversees Camelback site inventory, ensuring equipment is secure, organized, properly stored, and up to date
+ Facilitates the transfer of equipment from Camelback to Union Hills as needed
+ Manages equipment lifecycle processes, including transfers between sites, e-waste disposal, and documentation of equipment checkouts, swaps, and returns
+ Coordinates with CE Finance to forecast equipment needs, facilitate new orders, approve purchase orders in Coupa, and submit timely expense reports with proper documentation for tracking purposes
