Tennessee-based food products supplier Custom Foods of America has announced expansion plans to bring 249 new jobs to Knoxville.
The company will invest more than $51 million in expanding its manufacturing and distribution operations in the county.
Tennessee Governor Bill Lee made the announcement with Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter.

Gov Lee said: “Tennessee is shaped by companies like Custom Foods of America that continue to invest in our state’s skilled workforce and strong business climate.
“I thank CFA for its commitment to creating hundreds of new jobs in East Tennessee and look forward to seeing the success that follows this expansion.”
The expansion at the Pleasant Ridge location in Knox County will bring the company’s total workforce in the region to around 500.

The initiative includes adding nearly 200,000 square feet of new space dedicated to manufacturing, storage, staging, and shipping.

The firm aims to boost its production and distribution capabilities.
Established in 1982, the company is a major manufacturer and supplier of various food products, including soups, side dishes, appetizers, and sauces.
It presently serves customers in the restaurant and convenience store industries from its exclusive location in Knoxville.
