ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Senior Software Development Test Engineer (SDET) to join our team at LifeStance. As an SDET, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our software products. You will collaborate closely with software engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts. KEY RESPONSBILITIES
  • Develop and champion the long-term vision and strategy for test automation across the organization.
  • Architect and implement advanced, data-driven test automation frameworks that use AI/ML to identify and prioritize test cases.
  • Test Automation Development: Lead teams in the design, development, and maintenance of robust automated test scripts, frameworks, and tools for functional, integration, and regression testing.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Typically, it has 8+ years of professional experience in software development automation
  • Expert understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Expert programming skills in JavaScript and TypeScript, with experience in building and maintaining test automation frameworks.
  • Mastery of test automation tools (e.g. Datadog Synthetic, Playwright, Selenium, Cypress).
  • Expertise in one or more programming languages, preferably JavaScript or NodeJS.
  • In-depth knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Action, GitLab CI).
  • Expertise in designing and executing sophisticated API contract and integration tests. Proven ability to design and analyze performance and load test results to optimize system architecture.
  • In-depth experience with cloud-native testing strategies on AWS/Azure/GCP.
  • Proficient in quality assurance practices, automated testing strategies, and DevOps methodologies.
  • Ability to diagnose complex technical issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions.

    A Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) is responsible for developing testing scenarios for implementation of Leepfrogs web-based and supporting applications. They will understand product uses and consistently work to develop a deeper understanding of the product.     Responsibilities

    • Create new and maintain existing test automation code with a high degree of quality;
    • Promote best practices in code health, testability, and maintainability;
    • Work with members of the development and validation teams to determine the best areas of the applicaton to automate;
    • Implement automation regression suites;
    • Perform exploratory testing when needed; and
    • Identify, document, and track bugs to resolution.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field;
    • Experience in automation testing and/or software development;
    • Experience with black and white box testing;
    • Experience with automation platforms like Selenium or Cypress;
    • Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript;
    • Experience in testing web applications and APIs; and
    • Strong analytical, organizational, time management, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
