JOB SUMMARY:

PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE IS ONSITE AT OUR BROOKYLN HEALTH CENTER

The Microsoft Cloud Engineer is responsible for analyzing, architecting, implementing, and supporting the management, monitoring, & maintenance of our organization's IT cloud infrastructure, including M365 SaaS, Azure and AWS IaaS, and the integration with on premises servers, software, and desktop systems across locations in the United States. These locations include corporate offices, datacenters, and health centers owned and/or managed by our organization. The Cloud Infrastructure team ensures that this critical infrastructure is secure, highly available, right sized, and compliant with all regulatory guidelines by which we are governed. The Microsoft Cloud Engineer is also responsible for all aspects of M365 applications and services deployed, including but not limited to M365 Office, Teams, Power Platforms, SharePoint, and Azure, which includes the monitoring and support of the overall service.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Microsoft 365 design and configuration to align closely with the IT Operations & Security teams
  2. Provide engineering support for a complex Azure Active Directory, including identity access management and AD topologies in a hybrid environment
  3. Coordinate with the compliance team to align M365 cloud IT processes with all regulatory requirements
  4. Provide support for the maintenance of the companywide Disaster Recovery Plan
  5. Analyze and ensure proper monitoring solutions are in place that will notify and alert the teams of potential issues that could impact the availability and functionality of critical systems and applications
  6. Provide governance and mentoring for the team of IT engineers, technicians, and administrative personnel
  7. Provide a strategic vision and roadmap to analyze and evaluate new technologies and solutions to enhance the IT environment to serve strategic and tactical business objectives
  8. Coordinate and participate in planned maintenance activities to ensure IT systems are properly implemented and maintained according to best practices with minimal impact to the business
  9. Coordinate with the team to develop and maintain proper processes, procedures, security, and system documentation according to best practices and regulatory requirements
  10. Governance, design, implementation, and support all M365 services (Exchange, OneDrive, Teams, Power-BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, Intune etc.)
  11. Implement and coordinate the monitoring of M365 usage, tuning, security, and forecasting
  12. Ensure the company's data is replicated and/or backed up to meet corporate and regulatory requirements
  13. Maintain up time by proactive management and monitoring to ensure environment health, and minimize disruptions to mail-flow
  14. Supporting the provision of Power Platform environments, working closely with the application support team
  15. Providing a support service for users receiving incidents and work requests from Service Desk in addition to providing direct escalation support for end-users

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
  2. 5+ years of experience architecting, designing, implementing, administering, and supporting M365 Cloud environment, as well as Microsoft directory services and messaging platforms in an enterprise environment
  3. 5+ years of experience architecting, designing, implementing, administering, and supporting Microsoft Azure Cloud environment
  4. 5+ years of experience implementing supporting and administrating VMWare and Citrix environments.
  5. Experience using Manage Engine Endpoint Central & AD360 is a plus
  6. Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect - Expert certification is desired.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain databases, including design, development, testing, and deployment
  • Create automated unit tests and ensure that all code changes are thoroughly tested before release
  • Utilize design and integration patterns to create efficient and effective B2B & B2C applications
  • Create technical artifacts, such as solution design documents, in a timely manner
  • Troubleshoot and debug software issues
  • Work with major front-end web frameworks like React or Angular
  • Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Strong experience in C# development
  • Experienced in working with databases and good command of database concepts
  • Proven experience in writing good automated unit tests
  • Strong knowledge of design and integration patterns, especially in B2B & B2C applications
  • Experience with Agile methodology and tools
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Experienced in working with front-end web framework like React or Angular
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
