This role involves supporting the Business Lead in analyzing, documenting, and designing business processes and tools for a new ETRM tool implementation . You will work closely with Middle Office and Back Office business stakeholders and IT developers. The candidate will help implement a new post-trade framework (Market Risk, P&L, Credit Risk, Accounting, Invoicing) while leveraging existing modules. Strong experience in these fields is essential, and expertise in electronic trading information systems is a plus.
Role and responsibilities
- Collect and evaluate data to build business requirements and procedures
- Create and maintain functional specifications
- Draft process models and assist with training business stakeholders
- Create and maintain documentation
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, or a related technical field
- Knowledge of the Power and Gas Energy Industry / ISO market trading
- Experience working in Market Risk, P&L, or Back Office roles
- Knowledge of ETRM systems
- Experience collaborating with Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office users on IT projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint)
- Proficiency with Windows operating systems

- Interpret legal verbiage found in securitization documents and translate it into the mathematics and the economics of the transaction through a cash-flow waterfall/tax model.
- Code payment and tax reporting rules using programming languages such as Python and Visual Basic.
- No formal supervisory responsibility but provide guidance to and review the reports and calculations of junior analysts as well as translate complex technical concepts and analyses to non-technical audiences.
- Apply techniques such as SQL and querying and macro development to extract data for populating models and user defined tools.

To be successful in this role, were seeking the following:

- Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent certification in a related area and normally possess 10 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst or in a similar role.
- Proven experience with systems analysis, design, and implementation.
- Proficiency in system analysis tools and methodologies.
- Experience with SQL, databases, and ERP systems.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# is an advantage.
- Knowledge and experience with AWS cloud operations.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work aptitude and interest in learning new technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into detailed technical requirements and specifications.
- Analyze existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions.
- Proven experience administering Windows 2019+/Linux systems in a complex environment.
- Develop detailed system designs, workflows, and data models to support business requirements.
- Coordinate and support the implementation of new systems or enhancements, including testing and troubleshooting.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system processes, configurations, and user guides.
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure systems function as intended and meet quality standards.
- Serve as a liaison between IT teams and business units to ensure clear communication and effective solutions.
- Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and user experience.
- Ensure systems adhere to compliance standards and security protocols. Assist in remediating security vulnerabilities.
