Binary Defense is seeking a client-facing Network Security Engineer to serve as a hands-on contributor within a clients' Security Engineering function. This is a technical position responsible for the full-scope configuration, change management, and implementation of a client's micro segmentation and firewall policies.
You'll play a key role in expanding capabilities with leading tools in the client's environment such as Akamai Guardicore and Firemon. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong cross-functional communication, and the ability to deliver secure policy enforcement at scale while mitigating any impact on business operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead client technical policy definitions and the optimization of Guardicore and Firemon capabilities
• Analyze network traffic to determine appropriate traffic patterns
• Build allowlists and blocklists for network traffic

Job Description Summary:
This is a Mainframe Security Administration position, working on IBM z/OS operating systems. Experience using TSO, JCL, ISPF, JES2, and IBM Utilities will be required.
A passing of a Federal Background Check is required for this position.

Hands-on security administration experience with RACF, ACF2 and Top-Secret logon ID's, datasets, and resource rules.

Top Secret security administration experience required for this position, ACF2 and RACF experience desired.

Provision user access in response to tickets opened in Service Now within defined SLAs.

Monitor system security policy and violations/incidents.

Perform and review daily, weekly, and monthly audit reports.

Liaison with business areas and other technical support areas.

Provide customer support by preparing ad hoc reports and giving presentations.

Monitors the environment for adherence to security standards.

Must be available 24 x 7. On-call support will be required.
