Responsibilities

  • Implements and maintains cost-effective executive compensation and benefit plans and programs based on competitive practices, regulatory directives and company principles.
  • Defines the compensation philosophy, designing and managing executive compensation programs, and leading market surveys and analysis, overseeing the effectiveness and execution of overall global rewards strategy, equity programs and associated policies/plans.
  • Develops equity budgeting approach, provides modeling, and monitors and forecasts equity usage including burn rate and other dilution analyses.
  • Manages the day-to-day relationships with external vendors, including compensation consultants and legal advisors, to support the design and administration of executive compensation programs.
  • Manages executive compensation programs, including base salary and equity-based compensation plans for senior leaders.
  • Provides support through analysis and solution development for Edison's long germ incentive compensation program for the members of the company's board of directors and all applicable executive level positions.
  • Develops policies and procedures to ensure the achievement of compliant, equitable and competitive executive compensation, supporting the design and implementation of comprehensive compensation strategies for senior leaders.
  • Manages the annual compensation review, new hire, and separation-related compensation processes for executives.
  • Provides expert guidance and advice to senior leadership on executive compensation matters, including base salary, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, and executive benefits.
  • Prepares and presents executive compensation recommendations, analyses, and proposals to senior leadership.
  • Serves as a trusted advisor and resource to executives, HR partners, and other stakeholders on executive compensation-related matters.
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Ten or more years of combined experience in compensation and/or executive compensation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Five or more years of experience leading projects, including identifying, maintaining, and/or adjusting the scope and/or resources, and overseeing the formal planning, tracking, reporting of project performance and results delivery.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
  • Experience with the SuccessFactors (SF) human capital management suite, including annual planning using the SF software or a similar online tool.
  • Advanced Excel skills

JOB SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Specialist will support the day-to-day administration of employee benefits and human resources of El Super, Fiesta Mart and Smart & Final stores, while providing an excellent level of customer service and administrative support.   • 1-2 years of related administrative level work experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • SHRM and/or HRCI certification preferred
SKILLS:

Responsible for keeping abreast of and for updating on Workers Compensation; acts as a liaison between the Workers Compensation Representative and Agency; keeps abreast on unemployment regulations with the Human Resources as assigned or in the absence of the Human Resources Director; represents the Agency at hearings as assigned, prepares and processes Human Resources risk management incident reports and claims; implements risk management measures to minimize agency risk exposure.
  12. Responsible with the Human Resources Director for assuring that Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organization and HIPPA standards pertaining to Human Resources are in compliance; actively participates in the Improving Organization Performance Program, assures corporate compliance pertaining to Human Resources.
  13. Responsible for preparing monthly narrative and statistical reports.

Responsibilities:

The HR Specialist plays a key role in creating a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture. This role is centered on supporting healthy employee-management relationships, conducting fair investigations, ensuring policy alignment, and driving engagement and wellness initiatives. Acting as a trusted resource for employees and leaders alike, this position ensures that the company's values are upheld in every interaction, from conflict resolution to recognition programs, while also supporting core HR operations and office administration. This role ensures compliance with applicable labor laws and organizational policies and fosters employee engagement through wellness initiatives and administrative coordination.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Human Resources Generalist Functions
  • Interpret and apply terms of union contracts when assisting union employees and leaders with questions related general HR matters.
  • Serve as a resource and support partner for Store Directors and store employees, providing guidance, answering questions, and addressing concerns or complaints with professionalism and responsiveness.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies, procedures, and employee programs.
  • Research and apply new employment laws and regulatory changes affecting HR operations, ensuring organizational compliance.
  • Participate in the rollout and change management of new HR initiatives, systems, and compliance efforts, ensuring successful adoption across both store and office environments.
  • Process new hire and termination paperwork, including payroll entry and final pay processing as needed.
Employee Relations Support
  • Serve as a first-line support for employee concerns and workplace conflicts; escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Assist with investigations by gathering statements, reviewing documentation, and drafting investigation summaries.
  • Support coaching, corrective actions, and performance discussions with consistent documentation and follow-up.
  • Conduct thoughtful exit interviews and analyze separation trends to improve employee experience.
  • Provide guidance on workplace behavior, professionalism, and company expectations.
Policy & Compliance
  • Communicate and interpret policies and collective bargaining agreements to employees and managers.
  • Support policy development by researching best practices and recommending updates.
  • Assist with unemployment claim responses and represent the company at hearings if needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee relations activity, grievances, and separations.
Engagement & Culture Building
  • Help plan and execute employee engagement initiatives, recognition events, and wellness programs.
  • Foster employee participation in appreciation, health, and development activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to coordinate logistics and gather feedback on events.
  • Monitor engagement data to identify opportunities for culture and morale improvement.
Wellness Program Management
  • Coordinate employee wellness initiatives including screenings, flu clinics, fitness challenges, and virtual events.
  • Manage program reporting, incentives, and vendor relationships.
  • Promote engagement through wellness communications and onsite activities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive HR experience
  • Experience with investigations, event planning, or policy support is a plus.

Job Description:

LHH is seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Generalist (HRG) to join our client's team on a 6-month contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ADP systems and union experience. This role is crucial in supporting our HR operations and ensuring compliance with labor regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer ADP systems for payroll, benefits, and employee records.
  • Handle union-related matters, including negotiations, grievances, and contract administration.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and training processes.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
