Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other industrial vehicles to move materials around the warehouse or storage yard
- Load and unload goods from trucks and other vehicles

Summary:
The Equipment Operator/ Laborer receives detailed instructions before and during work to perform a variety of highway maintenance duties. Caution must be exercised in operating highway maintenance equipment in order to prevent damage to equipment or injury to employees and the motoring public.
Relationships:

- Installing and maintaining signs, guardrail, fence, and other related functions that are assigned and carried out.
- Patches, chips, seals and blacktop's roads.
- Assisting other departments in functions as needed for general upkeep and safety related tasks
- Loads and dumps crushed stone, sand, and salt and other various materials from trucks.
- Aids in cleaning highway after accident and removes trash from roadside.
- Obey all safety policies and procedure guidelines.
- Perform patrolling duties as assigned.
- Ensure proper care and cleaning of equipment as instructed by supervisor.
- Cleans storm drains, sewers, bridge decks, piers, and culverts.

Machine Operator Duties:
- Operate various equipment including Haven tube cutting machine, bundle saw, punch press and Innovo notch machine. Must be able to assure material is cut to length, punched or notched according to customer specifications.
- Perform quality inspections of all material upon arrival and during the handling process.
- Utilize tape measure, digital length gauge and computer system to ensure parts are produced to customer specification.
- Ensure your safety and that of your co-workers by following all safety procedures and wearing all required PPE while working with associated equipment and material.
Requirements:
- Experience in Haven tube cutting required.
- Experience with punch press, Innovo notch, forklift driving, shipping and receiving and overhead cranes is helpful.
