- Conduct pre-operational inspections of forklifts and equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, maintenance issues, or safety hazards to supervisors immediately.
5. **Team Collaboration:**
- Work collaboratively with warehouse associates, supervisors, and logistics personnel to achieve daily operational goals.

- Valid forklift operator certification or license required.

This position operates loaders equipped with front-mounted hydraulically powered bucket or scoop which is used to transport aggregate or other materials, feed hoppers or chutes, and/or stockpile aggregates.

Required Education And Experience

Position Summary
GreenWaste is seeking to temporarily fill the position of Heavy Equipment Operatorto provide support to one or more facilities. This roles main function will be to operate industrial grade equipment efficiently while observing all safety protocols.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures to ensure safety.
- Operate wheel loaders and other heavy equipment proficiently.
- Work in a fast-paced close quarters environment with other heavy equipment, forklifts, garbage trucks and pedestrian traffic safely.
- Load trucks and/or processing equipment.
- Push material on tipping pads as needed.
- Construct onsite building pads, all weather surfaces, and slopes.
- Maintaining the sites roads and terrain.
- Assist with unloading trucks as needed.
- Understand the safety features of each piece of equipment and how to properly use and track them.
- Top load walking floor trailers with the proper materials for each individual truck.
- Communicate with the scale and spotters to manage traffic flow on the tipping floors.
- Daily pre trip and post trip inspections of equipment and report any issues to the supervisor on shift.
- Keep equipment clean, fueled and in good repair throughout the shifts minimizing disruptions to operations.
- Knowledge of the use of all heavy equipment, its operation and all of the safety features.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, think and make decisions quickly.
- Be punctual, and reliable in order to minimize disruptions to the day-to-day operations.
- Ability to work as a team and work well with others.

**Job Title:** Hardware Press Machine Operator

**Shift:** 4 Day Shift (Mon-Fri | 5:30 AM - 1:40 PM), 2 Swing Shift (Mon-Thurs | 1:00 PM - 11:50 PM), 2 Weekend Shift (Fri 1:00 PM - 1:50 AM, Sat 9:00 AM - 9:40 PM, Sun 9:00 AM - 6:30 PM)
**What's the Job?**
+ Set up and operate hardware presses and related tools to install press-fit and other mechanical hardware.
+ Install Helicoils and PEM hardware using proper procedures and equipment.
+ Select appropriate tooling and perform basic job setups, including simple auto-feed tooling as needed.
+ Read and interpret engineering blueprints to determine installation specifications.
+ Measure installation height and component alignment using dial calipers and thread gauges.
**What's Needed?**
+ 1-5 years of experience in precision sheet metal manufacturing.
+ Minimum 6 months of hands-on experience installing hardware, including Helicoils/PEM and press-fit components.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and written instructions.
+ Familiarity with hardware types (PEM, Southco, nutserts, dowel pins) and thread standards (standard and metric).
+ Proficiency using dial calipers and thread gauges.

**PRIMARY FUNCTION:**
Clean and maintain shop areas, clean machines and sweep, mop, use floor cleaning machine, all shop areas, move materials and assist Journeyman machinists. Perform deburr clean operations, steam booth operations and tasks of a routine nature. Sweep and clean shop areas; maintain and comply with hazardous waste control guidelines; and assist manufacturing areas / personnel by performing tasks of a routine nature.
**TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT:**
Broom, shovel, rake, wheelbarrow, floor operated crane, forklift truck, trash containers, scrap bins, and carts, safety glasses, gloves, safety shoes etc.
**MATERIAL:**
Absorbent compounds and matting, metal chips, scrap metal pieces, wood, paper, rags, solvents, drums, boxes, barrels, hazardous materials/wastes, drum and bottle labels, cleaners, etc.
**DIRECTION OF OTHERS:**
Supervisor and Machinist - Follow the direction of the shop Supervisor
and when working with Journeyman Machinist and other manufacturing personnel.
**WORKING PROCEDURE:**
THE FOLLOWING ARE THE USUAL MAJOR JOB DUTIES BUT THIS JOB DESCRIPTION DOES NOT PRECLUDE THE PERFORMANCE OF OTHER DUTIES BY THE INCUMBENT, NOR THE QUESTION BEING RAISED ON THE PROPER RATE OF PAY FOR THE ASSIGNMENT.
1. Receive work assignment from supervision.
2. Read and follow safety regulations and procedures.
3. Sweep mop shop floors, empty trash, keep shop area housekeeping maintained. Operate, maintain shop floor sweeping / cleaning machine.
4. Collect and sort trash, debris, and chips and deposit in appropriate containers.
5. Maintain a supply of oil and absorbent compound.
6. Count, clean, sort, pickup, move, deliver and record materials, parts, fixtures, and tools.
7. Clean machines using solvent remove dirty oil and other standard processes from machines at the direction of the machinist or Manager.
8. May assist others in setting up machine tools by gathering nuts, bolts, clamps, knees and the disassembly, movement, positioning and placement of materials.
9. Maintain tools, equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
10. Make proper time charge entries and record data as required.
Perform other work of equal of lower classification as required

**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
+ Minimum 1 year experience working in a manufacturing environment and working with cleaning equipment such as, floor sweeper machines, mops, brooms and shovels.
