This leadership position as a Traveling Associate Director of Food & Nutrition Services assists the successful operation of Food & Nutrition Services in an Acute Care Hospital. The Traveling Associate Director of Food and Nutritional Services will assist in the responsibility for all foodservice-related activities for the location assigned; including patient care, non-patient care (retail, cafeteria, catering etc), quality improvement, sanitation, infection control and all hospital-related activities. This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic entrepreneurial manager who is constantly seeking a better way to conduct business.
Key Responsibilities:
The Traveling Associate Director assists to ensure client, customer satisfaction and efficient cost effective management. You will direct and conduct safety, sanitation, and maintenance programs; while maintaining excellent relationships with patients and the Client, as well as other departments within the Hospital. The Associate Director is also responsible for promoting the professional growth and development of their team. In addition; you will assist in fostering strong inter-departmental relations and integrate the food-service department with the facility plan of operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ B.S. Degree in Food Services Technology/Management or related field; or A.A. Degree plus three (3) years of directly related experience
+ Certified Dietary Manager certificate or Registered Dietitian, preferred
+ Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of hospital or adult home/care experience depending upon formal degree or training
+ Three (3) to five (5) years of direct foodservice operational management experience with inventory and purchasing knowledge and control
+ Strong knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
+ Previous P&L accountability or contract-managed service experience is desirable
+ Strong supervisory, leadership, management and coaching skills
+ Strong communication skills both written and verbal
+ Excellent financial, budgetary, accounting and computational skills

Performs one or a number of tasks relating to the preparation and service of food, delivery and collection of food and supplies, appropriate operation of machinery, and sanitation of specific areas of the department.
Job Responsibility
"1.Prepares and serves food to patients as assigned; prepares and arranges food according to guidelines or tallies. 2.Transports food and supplies to designated areas within Hospital or cafeteria; handles food in accordance with sanitary regulations. 3.Delivers food trays, nourishment, supplemental feedings and supplies in an orderly and timely fashion; serves food while accurately filling requests. 4.Collects used carts or trays and returns them to the kitchen. 5.Operates machines used in the preparation of food or sanitation equipment and work area; uses machines/equipment in a safe and efficient manner; maintains a sufficient amount of each item to support needs. 6.Operates all utensils according to proper procedures; maintains cleanliness of the work area. 7.Mops floors, cleans equipment, utensils, work and service areas, using detergents and germicides required. 8.Refrigerates and labels perishable food; stores all supplies in an orderly fashion. 9.Sorts all silverware for washing and cleans, polishes stainless steel equipment; may perform environmental service duties. 10.Performs related duties as required. THIS POSITION REQUIRES AN ENLISTMENT IN THE U.S. ARMY OR ARMY RESERVE

As a Culinary Specialist, you'll cook meals and work alongside chefs to prepare meals comparable to any major restaurant, so that Soldiers can sit down and enjoy a hot meal in between training or mission deployments. You'll be responsible for preparing and servicing meals both in the field and at home stations, as well as ordering, inspecting food supplies, and keeping the kitchen safe and sanitary.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and tend to customers in a prompt, efficient, friendly manner.
• Adhere to and assist with Food Service daily production.
• Follow all food safety and dating procedures.
• Follow proper guidelines for food preparation, timekeeping, sanitation, and all other procedures.
• Train new Team Members.
• Assist in monitoring inventory levels of products and supplies.
• Sweep, mop, empty trash and clean as necessary, including restrooms.
• Attend all mandatory/scheduled store meetings.
• Keep up to date on new policies and procedures.
• Maintain appearance and uniform standards.
• Adhere to loss prevention guidelines.
• Be proficient in cash handling, lottery procedures and cash control policies.
• Communicate any questions, concerns, or issues to leadership in a timely manner.
• Complete all assigned tasks and achieve shift objectives.
• Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
