How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:
* Maintain pipeline of opportunities with customers focused on comprehensive Smurfit Westrock products and solutions to support customer growth, meet customersu2019 business needs, and improve WestRocku2019s position and margin
* Create customer growth strategies centered on identified opportunities to drive revenue and/or volume growth within the corporate customer base
* Identify and build relationships with new customers utilizing a differentiated sales approach
* Build and foster relationships throughout the customer organization by delivering high quality products/services, sharing insights, and identifying opportunities to support the customer
* Anticipate and identify the customeru2019s needs and growth areas, bring in necessary Smurfit Westrock resources and expertise, and develop holistic solutions to deliver value to the customer
* Lead business reviews with clients and executives to review performance and delivery of Smurfit Westrocku2019s value proposition
* Support and lead special projects and testing efforts driven by the customers or internally, coordinating with other departments to gather data, execute initiatives, and generate insights
* Communicate the changing needs of customers to internal leadership to ensure Smurfit Westrock solutions align with customersu2019 needs and industry/market trends
* Support the facilitation of negotiations and contract agreements in partnership with leadership, pricing team, and legal as necessary
* Orchestrate and coordinate all work required to meet and exceed the customersu2019 needs by engaging Smurfit Westrock cross functional partners
* Act as a liaison between the customer and local plant that is running their products
* Continuously engage in training to build capability and knowledge
What you need to succeed:
* High School diploma or G.E.D
* Bacheloru2019s degree is preferred
* Must have at least 5 years of experience in customer service, sales, finance, accounting, or high-level administrative work
* Must have at least 5 years of experience managing clients in a customer-facing business or in a business leadership role
* Strong strategic thinking and financial analysis skill sets with an ability to develop and execute strategies and financial plans
* Possess effective verbal and written communication skills to build relationships, deliver engaging presentations, and convey complex data
* Proven track record of collaboration within cross functional teams to achieve goals
* Work experience in packaging industry is preferred
