We are seeking a dynamic and experienced salesperson to join our team in Portland, OR. Our Business Development Managers are responsible for bringing in new business and establishing repeat business relationships with new and current customers within an assigned territory. They improve our company's profitability by increasing growth in market share and gross margin. This is a great opportunity for a strong business development representative who thrives in consultative sales and has some knowledge of industrial products. The position requires extensive travel between and around Portland to Eugene, OR and has ample bonus compensation opportunity!
Summary Of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Manages assigned sales territory, establishing new customers and expanding our current customer base.
- Develop a pipeline of customer prospects through networking, referrals, research and cold calling, utilizing our CRM (Proton AI).
- Grow profitable market share by presenting value-added service, keeping current on competitive products, customer machinery and processes.
- Improves territory performance through increased sales and gross margins.
- Conduct sales and service activities, develop strong customer relationships, identify product applications, and introduce new products and services.
- Promotes and maintains effective working relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Utilizes vendor representatives to help develop accounts and territory, establishing repeat joint calls.
- Identifies and evaluates new customers, market conditions, opportunities, prospects and competitive pressures.
- Recommend and implement actions to maximize sales, increase margins, and expand market share.
- Always look for ways to provide value for our customers, documenting cost savings and reporting back to the customer.
- Records account, contacts, joint calls, and sales activities in CRM.
- Collaborate with the local customer experience team on how to provide the best service.

This role will be responsible for supporting Upward's go to market roadmap; and leading the collaboration with partners and leadership to build a high-impact business plan for each new company. **Key Responsibilities:**
- Partner Management - Support ownerships of broker-owner relationships, input, and questions from Anywhere franchisees during the 3-6 month implementation phase. Own relationships with partners post-launch and develop a programmatic approach for ongoing partner success.
