Position Overview:
Flender, located in Elgin, IL is seeking a professional, qualified, detail oriented, and energetic Gear Unit Repair Engineer (RE) to support its Industrial Drives market. The RE will play a significant role in end-to-end process of Gear Box repairs to be completed by the technician in our Elgin Factory. They must provide timely technical and operational support to the factory and Flender sales team with the goal of exceeding our customers' needs and ensuring competitiveness against competitors, The RE will work closely with Flender's field sales, order management, and the Elgin plant operations team, as well as with our colleagues at our German Flender headquarters and other foreign team members around the globe. They will have opportunities to communicate directly to customers in the industrial, construction and utility markets to work towards the completion of repair projects.
Duties will also include supporting projects and initiatives to ensure optimal plant performance, efficiency, and safety.
Responsibilities:
Major Duties - Drive competencies in the following areas:
- Develops and completes customer proposals in technical aspects (Proposal Engineer).
- Analyzes customers' technical setup to better judge on aspects of repair and solution integration.
- Performs the review of task plans, drawings and assembly drawings and provides guidance in the phase of product repair and testing.
- Support completion of repair agreements (i.e. planning and estimation of labor categories, rates, material cost, etc.).

**Salary:**
Primary Location Pay Range: $70,875.00 - $18,125.00

Growth Product Specialist to lead data-driven initiatives that improve how users discover, activate, and expand with Atom. In this cross-functional role, you’ll run experiments, optimize funnels, and shape the product experience—unlocking user value at every stage of the journey.
What You’ll Do
Lead Growth Experiments Across the Funnel
Design, prioritize, and execute A/B tests across acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, and monetization. Validate hypotheses and translate insights into actionable product improvements.
Own Onboarding and First-Time User Activation
Define and optimize the first-touch experience. Build flows, tooltips, and in-product education that help users reach aha moments quickly and reduce early drop-off.
Improve Conversion Across Key User Journeys
Collaborate with marketing, design, and engineering to optimize core product flows, landing pages, and conversion funnels—both in-product and on the website.
Build Scalable Growth Loops and Lifecycle Programs
Create and iterate on behavior-driven lifecycle touchpoints (email, notifications, in-app messaging) to increase user engagement and long-term retention.
Analyze User Behavior and Prioritize Growth Opportunities
Leverage product analytics to uncover friction points, segment users, and drive strategic experiments. Use data to inform roadmaps and champion high-impact changes.
Leverage AI to Enhance the User Experience
Identify and implement ways to embed AI across the user journey—from personalized onboarding to intelligent recommendations and dynamic messaging—to improve discovery, activation, and engagement at scale.
What We’re Looking For

Hands-on experience designing and analyzing experiments

Deep understanding of growth frameworks (activation, retention, engagement, etc.)
