Job Summary

The Allergy and Asthma Program at Boston Children's Hospital is part of the Division of Immunology . The program evaluates children with all types of allergy problems.
We are also experts in treatment of asthma , which is caused by allergies in approximately two-thirds of children with asthma. Pulmonary function testing , which measures lung function, is available for children 6 and older with respiratory issues. Our providers are experts in designing a treatment plan to allow children with asthma to participate in all activities and prevent exacerbations.
Key responsibilities:
- Working in busy Boston and satellite Allergy practices with a patient population with wide variety of health care needs including asthma, food allergies, environmental allergens, eczema, and immunodeficiency.
- Communicating with patients, families and health care providers.
- Administering allergy shots, testing for medication allergies, phone triage, working with patients with food challenges.
- Working 20 hours/week -M-F, (2) 10 hour shifts. Rotation to 1-2 satellites/week (2 Brookline Place and Waltham). Opportunity to work 1 Saturday morning/month (not mandatory but encouraged).
