**What you'll be doing:**
As a Cover Delivery Driver, you will drive a variety of route assignments to cover for vacations and absences at least 50% of the time. You will provide outstanding customer service by helping to resolve problems and by accepting product returns as required.
In this role, you will transport products safely and deliver office supplies on your assigned route to customers. At times, depending on volume, you will load vehicles. You will organize and load product for delivery utilizing the manifest assuring the most efficient delivery route and schedule.

You will be a problem solver for our customers; providing customer support, accepting product returns, and will be empowered to make your customers' day. You're our brand on wheels! **Basic Qualifications:**
+ Must have a valid drivers' license with a driving record indicating a safe driving history acceptable to the company and at all times remain eligible to drive a commercial motor vehicle under applicable laws and regulations.
+ Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen (No THC) to the extent legally permissible.
+ Must obtain a 6-month DOT medical card specific to the role.
+ Basic English language skills (both verbal and written communications)
+ Full-Time associates must have the ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift; additional overtime hours will be required based on business need.
+ Ability to lift up to 70lbs, push and pull items weighing up to 400 lbs with the assistance of hand carts/material handling equipment, and occasionally maneuver up to 130 lbs.
+ Must wear safety composite shoes.
+ Must be at least 21 years of age.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
+ Minimum 1-year of truck driving experience (operating a 16ft or longer straight truck) or comparable driving experience.
+ High volume / small package delivery experience

What You'll Do
+ Inspects company vehicle for visual and operating defects. Responsible for completing a daily inspection report
+ Keeps company vehicle clean, serviced, and maintained. Alerts supervisor of repair and/or service needed
+ Must follow Department of Transportation (DOT), local and state driving laws and regulations
+ Loads or unloads vehicle; and ensures all material for each order is correct (quantity and type of material), and that material is free of damage before departure
+ May assist in preparing orders for delivery
+ Ensures all appropriate documentation is thoroughly completed at the time of delivery, including delivery receipt is signed by the customer, packing list and branch/warehouse manifest
+ Picks up material returns from customers. Responsible for inspecting the condition of the material and verifies quantities and catalog numbers
+ Picks up material from company suppliers
+ Senior Truck Driver will participate in the training of entry level Truck Drivers; and provides mentorship and coaching
+ May be required to support other Warehouse duties such as preparing and filling orders and/or receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping material
+ Other duties as assigned

As a Delivery Driver, you will have face-to-face contact with customers as you deliver orders. You will safely drive a Graybar truck or van from the warehouse to each destination, providing on-time delivery and good customer service. You will be responsible for maintaining positive customer relations and passing along customer feedback, and even promoting services and products! One advantage of this role is that it is typically Monday-Friday during the day and you will be home each night. **Compensation Details:** The expected pay rate for this position is starting at $25.00 per hour depending on experience + $1.00 per hour Hoisting License Differential available.
**In this role you will:**
+ Help determine best routes for delivery to meet customer expectations
+ Deliver products to Graybar customers while providing excellent customer service
+ Load and unload trucks using warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
