**Summary:**
Edge and Network Services (ENS) is looking for an experienced engineering leader to solve challenges related to the support of existing architectures and integration of new compute and network technologies across our global production infrastructure footprint. As a Journeyman Network Operations Engineer (Tier 2), you will provide mid-level operational support for enterprise network systems. This position serves as the key escalation between Tier 1 personnel and senior engineering staff, ensuring troubleshooting, incident resolution, and system performance within mission-critical environments. Major Job Activities:
+ Multi-disciplined network engineer with experience maintaining and fixing wired, wireless, and mobile broadband solutions in response to network faults, errors, incidents, and problems.
+ Provides touch labor for all network devices.
+ Oversee monitoring of network assets per SLAs.
+ Performs break / fix and maintenance activities.
+ Monitors network dashboards, analyzing problems, troubleshooting escalated incidents, coordinating, and reporting all operational information concerning the enterprise network infrastructure.
+ Provides subject matter expertise for LAN, WAN, firewalls, and other network technologies.
+ Investigates and diagnoses incidents to restore failed network services as quickly as possible.
+ Leads root cause analysis and suggests resolutions for network infrastructure problems.
+ Installs and supports remote access platforms such as VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix.
+ Has a fundamental understanding of network engineering concepts and adapts to emerging technologies as they are introduced to the environment.
+ Knowledge of network protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
+ Experience with Cisco command line interface and configuration. Troubleshoots complex problems to closure.
+ Assesses and implements Change Requests as needed in accordance with the Change Management process.
+ Hands-on technical position that provides Tier 2 technical expertise.
+ Performs site surveys, configuration and engineering, installation planning, and documentation services for the customer as they relate to all network services.
+ Experience working with wireless technologies, VPNs, IPSs, WAN Accelerators, and associated technologies.

Experience / Skills:
+ 5 years with BA / BS Degree; Or

+ Experience supporting DAF and local base environments.

**The Opportunity** :
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Network Operations Center (NOC) Shift Lead to oversee and guide a team of network engineers and technicians in a 24/7 NOC environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of network infrastructure, and the ability to respond effectively to incidents and service requests. The NOC Shift Lead will ensure network uptime and operational efficiency, maintain quality standards, and mentor team members while ensuring smooth operations during their shift.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Supervise and lead the NOC team during assigned shifts, ensuring effective monitoring of network performance, incidents, and alerts.
+ Manage and prioritize incoming network incidents and service requests, ensuring timely resolution and escalation when necessary.
+ Ensure that service level agreements (SLAs) and operational targets are met consistently.
+ Coordinate, lead and participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for network disruptions or outages.
+ Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
+ Ensure accurate and timely documentation of network issues, solutions, and escalations.
+ Maintain and enforce NOC operational processes, documentation, and best practices.

**Qualifications** :
+ TS/SCI with Poly required
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
+ 5+ years of experience in network operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
+ Strong understanding of network protocols, infrastructure, and security concepts
+ Experience with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems
+ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
+ Strong leadership and team management abilities
+ Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
+ Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
+ Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or ITIL are preferred
