Job Description
UCFS is looking for candidates who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others! We are currently seeking a full-time (40hr) Dental Assistant to join our team in Norwich. The Dental Assistant is responsible for assisting the dentist with patient care and ensuring the efficient operation of the dental clinic.
Essential Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for dental procedures and take their dental records and vitals
Assist dentists with all dental procedures utilizing fourhanded dentistry.
Sterilize dental instruments and equipment to maintain a clean and safe working environment
Educate patients on proper dental hygiene and care instructions
Expose, develop, and duplicate radiographs; take impressions and pour models per generally accepted practice and department standards.
Provide routine operational support such as tracking lab work, maintaining supplies in operatories, laundering staff scrub jackets and other duties as needed
Return patient phone calls; phone in prescriptions and schedule patient appointments

Requirements:
High School diploma or GED required

Overview:
As a Registered Dental Hygienist, you will play a pivotal role in promoting and maintaining oral health within the dental practice.
