- Systems Technology and Reclamation (STaR) technical roles such as Network and Imaging Lab Technician
*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from 0.35 per hour to 3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
Duties and Responsibilities
Specialized roles include the following positions:
- Environmental, Health, and Safety roles will communicate with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g. customers, suppliers, associates)
- You will conduct directed shrink related audits and report findings to appropriate leader or manager
- You will support process improvement strategies
- You will utilize specific equipment (e.g., closed circuit television, walkie-talkies, systems, telxons) to aid in your responsibilities
- Lead positions provides leadership in a production environment.
- Print Solutions technical roles require you to operate highly technical machines using appropriate tools, equipment, chemicals, and supplies.
- These positions will require specific skills in roles such as Graphic Artist, Color Press Operator, Web Press Operator, Binding and Finishing, Ink mixer and Ink Jet Operators etc.
Systems Technology and Reclamation (STaR) technical roles such as Network and Imaging Lab Technician
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment to ensure safety and compliance

Minimum Qualifications
Specialized roles will require specific qualifications to be met in order to compete for these position.
Environmental, Health, and Safety position will require the following minimal requirement
- 6 months experience as a Walmart associate OR 1 year work experience or coursework in a safety, compliance, or security-related field (e.g., Military, Public Safety, Compliance, Criminal Justice)
Print Solutions Technical positions could require the following minimum requirement;
- 6 months experience operating industrial, production, or manufacturing equipment/machinery (e.g. Folder, Collator, Inserter, Printing Press)
- Associate Degree or vocational degree in Graphic Arts OR 1 year experience as a Walmart associate including experience operating Macintosh based systems and software OR 1 year experience as a Graphic Artist or graphic design professional preparing files for printing using Macintosh based systems
STaR technical or Lab positions could require the following minimal requirement;
- 1 year experience as a Walmart associate OR 1 year work experience in program coding, software development, or related field.
- 2 years of work experience using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Access and Word functions. 1 year experience developing programming code (for example, VB Script).

Essential Job Functions
- Greets team members, answers telephone, and assists team members with various HR related issues.
- Responsible for full cycle recruiting of multiple positions across 8 States.
- Manage Applicant Tracking System.
- Works with management on background processing, and onboarding process for new hires.
- Completes E-Verify for all new hires.
- Prepares and/or audits team member forms to be processed and filed.
- Creates updates and maintains employment and other employment required files.
- Tracks and files acknowledgment forms, performance reviews, training, and/or certificate completion documents and other related HR paperwork.
- Schedules and conducts new hire orientation.
- Assists in gathering information and drafts correspondence in response to unemployment claims.
- Conducts various audits of HR required paperwork and files.
- Communicates and participates in company programs.
- Experience using multiple computer systems or programs (i.e., Microsoft Office, Phone Dialer)
- Strong communication skills
- Completes all required Company training/compliance courses as assigned.
- Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.
- Perform related duties as assigned, within your scope of practice.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 years' experience in Customer Service field.
- This position does not include any supervisory responsibilities.

General Summary
The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (Senior HRBP) will be responsible for leading complex employee relations for assigned business units and serving as a strategic HR partner to City leadership. The Senior HRBP will develop collaborative relationships with management and employees to deliver superior HR services aligned with the Citys mission and values.
Additional responsibilities include supporting all HR employee administrative functions throughout the employee lifecycle, ensuring labor and employment law compliance, and contributing to Citywide HR projects and initiatives. The Senior HRBP must possess demonstrated experience in working with labor unions and applying collective bargaining agreements in a public sector environment.
The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents of this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.
Conduct and/or attend regular meetings with assigned business units to analyze trends and metrics, and provide support for programs, policies, and problem resolution.
Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal requirements, reducing legal risk and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the City Attorney's Office, union representatives, and management as appropriate.
Provide day-to-day HR support and administrative duties for assigned business units.
Work closely with leadership and employees to improve workplace relationships, build morale, and enhance retention and productivity.
Provide guidance and interpretation on HR processes, City and department policies, collective bargaining agreements (CBAs), compensation, benefits, retirement, reorganizations, workforce planning, and succession planning.
Provide professional HR advice and strategic direction in areas of employee relations, total compensation, recruitment and selection, employee development and training, equal employment opportunity law compliance, and other HR areas.
Participate in union negotiations and related labor relations activities.
May attend job fairs and public events, representing the City and interacting with the community.
May conduct audits of payroll, timekeeping, and HR systems to ensure compliance with laws, policies, and collective agreements.
Write clear, accurate, and professional correspondence, reports, and personnel-related documents.
Build and maintain effective client relationships and serve as an HR subject matter expert to assigned departments.
Respond to HR-related requests from employees, leadership, external agencies, and the public.
Develop, conduct, and participate in salary surveys as assigned.
Stay current on relevant employment laws including but not limited to FLSA, FMLA, ADA, USERRA, Workers' Compensation, HIPAA, COBRA, and EEOC compliance.
Process HR actions in the HRIS system and maintain both physical and electronic employee records.
Ensure safe work practices and support the Citys safety culture.
Perform other duties as assigned in support of Citywide HR operations.
Minimum and Preferred Entrance Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Seven (7) years of progressive HR experience across multiple disciplines (e.g., employee relations, compensation, benefits, labor relations, and employment law), with at least five (5) years of experience managing complex employee relations matters.
Demonstrated professional growth through ongoing education and training.
Experience working with labor unions and interpreting/applying CBAs in a public sector or unionized environment.
Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
Previous public sector experience.
Experience supporting unionized public sector environments and participating in collective bargaining.
