Job Details

Work in a computerized tomography (CT) department within a hospital setting,
Performs specialized CT imaging procedures and may assist with general diagnostic radiology exams,
Responsible for a variety of patient populations, depending on inpatient and outpatient caseloads,
12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week from 3:00 PM to 3:30 AM,
13-week contract position,
May float to a nearby sister hospital as needed,
Utilizes PACS and RIS for image management and study documentation,

Job Requirements

Minimum of 2 years recent CT experience required,
Active ARRT (CT) registration required,
Current AHA BLS certification required,
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required,
Active Michigan Radiologic Technologist license required if applicable,
Must be able to safely and properly operate high-voltage CT imaging equipment,
Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move equipment and patients in excess of 10 lbs,
Must complete online training modules and pass required assessments prior to start,
COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory,

Additional Information

Duties include patient positioning, explaining procedures, obtaining relevant clinical data, performing and analyzing CT scans, and preparing procedure rooms,
Responsible for administering IV contrast, using power injectors, and monitoring for reactions,
Assists radiologists with complex sterile procedures such as biopsies,
Ensures accurate documentation and indexing of studies in medical and radiology information systems,
Adheres to principles of radiation safety and ALARA practices,
No blocked scheduling is permitted,
