Tax Accountant - 3 Days in Office
We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Accountant to support tax compliance, consulting, and planning for a complex organizational structure with both domestic and international operations. This role involves preparing tax returns, ensuring compliance accuracy, analyzing transaction data, and collaborating with tax managers on various initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage compliance for sales tax, VAT, income, and franchise tax, including accounting, research, and strategic planning.
Prepare corporate tax filings and ensure accurate reporting of all relevant transactions.
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reporting in coordination with finance and compliance teams.
Review corporate agreements to assess VAT implications and compliance requirements.
Conduct research on tax regulations and legal requirements affecting federal tax planning initiatives.
Respond to internal tax inquiries and provide guidance to various departments.
Maintain an updated tax calendar to track reporting deadlines and compliance requirements.
Assist in preparing income tax provisions, tax accruals, and general ledger reconciliations.
Support key tax initiatives and department-wide projects aimed at enhancing efficiency and compliance.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelors degree in Accounting (tax emphasis preferred).
CPA certification preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate or public tax accounting.
Understanding of tax concepts related to federal and state fiduciary tax returns.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software (PeopleSoft preferred).
Experience with Vertex software is a plus.

The Company is open to considering candidates in numerous locations, including Princeton, NJ. The salary range posted below applies to the Company's Princeton, NJ location.
The base salary range anticipated for this position is $104,200 - $150,000 plus opportunity for company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay. In addition, the company makes available a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
The salary estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for candidates hired in this position in Princeton, NJ. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range.
