Responsible for receiving and shipping automotive replacement safety glass products and supplies for internal and external customers. May operate material handling equipment (MHE) on occasion as needed.
Hourly Pay: $17.00 plus a $1.50 shift differential
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday 3:15pm - 11:15pm. Overtime until 1:15am.
- Without assistance, must be able to lift, carry, push and/or pull objects weighing 35-45 pounds on average and up to 70 pounds on a frequent/daily basis
- Must be able to work in temperatures similar to outdoors within the facility
- Excellent attendance record.
- Proficient in the English language (verbal and written).
- Good customer relations and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Able to work both independently and as a team member.
- Completes other duties as necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years prior warehouse general labor experience.
- Working knowledge of departmental safety, quality and operational procedures.

- Packaging - Assemble wood crates and metal racks.
- Disassemble wood and corrugated boxes and dispose of them.
- Stock variety of packaging materials for production use.
- Uncrating - Inspect & open wood and corrugates crates to be hung on shelves.
- Look up part information in SAP on desktop computer.
- Repack damaged crates.

Serve as a materials resource in all phases of the manufacturing process.

Job OverviewThe Automated Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for the fulfillment of customer orders by retrieving and stacking specific product and quantities as specified on the pick ticket/computer screen assigned on a pre-determined conveyor and, or pallet while traveling throughout the warehouse's pick area to do so, in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner while maintaining any determined expectations of safety, accuracy, and, or efficiency. This position is also responsible for building stable pallet(s) of product while meeting or exceeding warehouse and company expectations in safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
Duties & Responsibilities- Assists and facilitates in case picking and sorting within the automated environment using computers, software, and complex machines while adhering to all established safety procedures and policies, multi-tasking, and making sound decisions in a noisy and time-sensitive environment
- Collaborates within a team environment to coordinate and organize efficient and dependable warehouse processes
- Adapts to needs of the role and maintains knowledge of working in different work areas throughout the workday while meeting the minimum expectations of those different work areas, including, but not limited to, HQS, Semi-Automated Lanes, Pallet Pick, and Flow Rack
- Assists in the daily housekeeping and maintenance of the warehouse, including keeping the work area free of trash and, or debris, as well as cleaning any type of spillage and following all waste removal and recycling protocols
- Works safely, accurately, and efficiently to control warehouse inventory to keep shrink at an acceptable level
- Performs miscellaneous activities as directed to support the efficient operation of a warehouse in a dynamic environment

You will be responsible for the operation and output of assigned production lines which include but are not limited to:
- Performs duties in a manner that adheres to safety policies and procedures.
