**Pay Range:** $22 to $4 an hour (depending on experience)
**Shift:** 6am-4:30pm (Monday-Thursday)
**Job Description**
We are seeking an experienced Welder to join our team in Sedro-Woolley. The ideal candidate will efficiently and accurately weld steel assemblies from plans, specifications, and quality control hold points, perform simple fittings, and process complex parts for assembly. The successful candidate must understand written and verbal instructions while following dimensional and welding drawings, producing production-quality welds within a given process.
**Responsibilities**
+ Demonstrate welding competency in all positions.
+ Set weld machines to optimum parameters for work in accordance with WPS.
+ Understand weld symbols and prepare joints in accordance with code.
+ Utilize jigs and fixtures where appropriate.
+ Perform basic fitting work as instructed.
+ Place welds of proper size, spacing, and sequence per work instruction.
+ Read and understand shop plans, blueprints, and work orders.
+ Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
+ Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
+ Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ Competency in MIG welding, fabrication, and MIG welding techniques.
+ High school diploma, general education degree, or vocational degree.
+ 3+ years of experience in welding or trade school education.
+ Certified welder holding current WABO or AWS certification (FCAW).
+ Skillful operation of most non-specialized metalworking equipment.
+ Understanding and application of visual inspection criteria in pre-QC work checks.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Ability to have a full range of mobility in the upper and lower body.
+ Capability to reach overhead and work in various positions, including stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting.
+ Use of hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
+ Ability to reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, and balance for extended periods.
+ Capability to lift, pull, and push material and equipment to complete assigned job tasks.
+ Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
**Work Environment**
The employee will be exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, and odors. This position requires physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities in a primarily production environment. The work environment characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is 22.00 - 34.00/hr.
