Your Job

DEPCOM Power, a prominent Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) firm in the renewable energy industry, is looking for a Civil Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a background in the construction or land development industry and experience working in Civil3D.

This role can sit in either DEPCOM's Pleasanton, CA, Scottsdale, AZ, or Bedminster, NJ offices.

What You Will Do

  • Oversee large-scale project civil and site preparation design.
  • Oversee construction phase activities, including contractor adherence to civil design plans, managing field adjustments, and conducting on-site quality assurance for grading and site preparation.
  • Coordinate with other Engineering disciplines (Project, Structural, Electrical) and establish deliverables.
  • Manage civil engineering subcontractors throughout the country for the completion of grading and erosion control plans, construction specifications, SWPPP, hydrology reports, etc.
  • Complete project due diligence via site visits to evaluate grading and site preparation strategy, existing drainage conditions and general site conditions.
  • Report tasks and civil deliverables status to key internal customers including Project Engineering, Project Management, Construction and Senior Management.
  • Review grading and drainage plans, drainage studies, ALTA/topo and other survey documents, and geotechnical reports to make recommendations for project site preparation design and identify schedule and cost constraints.
  • Organize and lead meetings related to Civil Engineering and site preparation with multiple internal and external project stakeholders.
  • Address site challenges such as soil stabilization, foundation design, and erosion control on large-scale developments.
  • Balance cost, schedule, and quality considerations through value engineering and innovative approaches to civil design and construction.
  • Implement lessons learned and contribute to the development of standardized workflows and process improvements across civil engineering operations.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • BS degree in Civil Engineering
  • Experience in civil design and/or large-scale civil construction

What Will Put You Ahead

  • An EIT and/or a PE License
  • Experience in grading and drainage design
  • Permitting support experience
  • Geotechnical engineering experience
  • Hydrology experience
  • Experience in land development projects

For this role, we anticipate paying $100,000 - $130,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.

+ Focus on the delivery of civil site development projects and will assist in the design, construction, and project management of a wide variety of projects involving grading design, stormwater design, erosion control design culvert design, and pavement design, etc

**Key Responsibilities**
+ Perform design of projects from the conceptual and bid phase through design completion for project needs and requirements that are set by the project managers based off client needs
+ Assist the Engineering Manager in maintaining project schedules and budgets
+ Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, interface directly with the client or sub-consultants
+ Support business development through writing of technical approaches, scopes of work, and presentation to clients
+ Responsible for effective communication with other engineering disciplines and project team
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Licensed EIT and/or Licensed Professional Engineer or be in active pursuit of registration
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing
+ Minimum of 5 years related work experience

**About the Role:**
As a CBRE Project Management Consultant, you will be responsible for providing consulting services to an assigned market or client account to help achieve the company's strategic business objectives.
This job is part of the Project Management function. They are responsible for the management of projects from initiation through completion.
**What You'll Do:**
+ Manage all areas of project management for singular real estate projects. This includes planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.
+ Work directly with clients to prepare all elements of the project. This includes the scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimates & budget, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control, and risk identification.
+ Define the project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through the project qualification process. Conduct a standard request for proposals, complete bid evaluations, and recommend resources to clients.
+ Implement project documentation governance that is aligned with company and client requirements.
+ Ensure project data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely, and coordinated.
+ Direct the project delivery team by providing guidance and direction to achieve goals.

**What You'll Need:**
+ Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM designation(s) preferred.

+ Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
+ In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

+ Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is $80,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $90,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
