Leading, designing, developing and implementing solutions for Enterprise web portal application, web services, database, integrations with multiple applications across different verticals. Leading design and development efforts resulting in well structured, reusable and maintainable application code. Performing all phases of software development for Agile (Scrum) or Waterfall methodologies (analysis, design, development and implementation). Utilizing web technologies (Java, J2EE, Angular, Angular Material, TomCat, JBoss, OpenShift, Spring, Hibernate, Spring Boot, HTML, CSS, JQuery and XML). Performing database schema design with Oracle or MS SQL. Designing and developing REST and RESTful web services and integrating with external hosted applications. Supporting commercial product domains including payments (wires and ACH), reporting, transaction initiations and application administration functionality. Building and supporting J2EE platforms with UI technologies using JavaScript and Angular. Working with Product and UX to understand customer requirements, and collaborating on the design of new features. Taking an active role in determining the architecture, technology and tools for our web portal platform. Qualifications - External
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, or a related field (or foreign equivalent degree).
Experience: 8 years of experience in all phases of software development for Agile (Scrum) or Waterfall methodologies (analysis, design, development and implementation); and 3 years of experience must include design and implementations of portal web application; with web technologies (Java, J2EE, Angular, Angular Material, TomCat, JBoss, OpenShift, Spring, Hibernate, Spring Boot, HTML, CSS, JQuery and XML); and 2 years of experience must include database schema design with Oracle or MS SQL; design and development of REST and RESTful web services and integrating with external hosted applications; and in the Banking or Financial Services industry supporting commercial product domains including payments (wires and ACH), reporting, transaction initiations and application administration functionality.
Other: Position requires employment in-office 4 days per week and remotely 1 day per week.

We are seeking a highly motivated and self-driven Software Engineer to join our dynamic prototyping environment focused on Simulator Systems. Job Title: Software Engineer (Simulator Systems)
Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and self-driven Software Engineer to join our dynamic prototyping environment focused on Simulator Systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of current software design methodologies and a passion for innovation. As an experienced software engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing software from requirements, leading root-cause analysis, and providing recommendations for software defects.
Responsibilities
+ Design, develop, integrate, test, and document flight simulator software ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional engineers to meet project requirements.
+ Develop acceptance test procedures to validate the functionality and performance of software.
+ Recommend, incorporate, and/or alter new and existing simulator designs and documentation.
+ Participate in engineering design reviews.
+ Perform hardware/software integration and testing on flight simulator training devices ensuring seamless operation and interaction with other simulator components.
+ Provide engineering staff with recommendations for software/hardware enhancements by staying updated with the latest advancements in technology for simulator systems.
+ Research and analyze data, such as customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine the feasibility of design or application.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in C/C++.
+ Proficiency with Unix/Linux Operating Systems.
+ Understanding of computer networking and protocols.
+ Experience developing device drivers and interfacing with external APIs.
+ Knowledge of software development methodologies, version control systems, and software testing practices.
+ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex software systems.

+ Experience developing graphical user interfaces a plus.
+ Working knowledge of QML, GTK, GL Studio, OpenGL a plus.
+ Experience with VR, AR, MR a plus.
+ Working knowledge of Unreal Engine and 3D modeling a plus.

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or in a related field of study plus four (4) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Consultant, Application Developer, or in a related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: SQL querying in Oracle RDBMS such as Json querying, and PL/SQL for trigger and stored procedures; ELK (ElasticSearch, Logstash and Kibana) customizing dashboard by using Kibana functions and applying customizable meta tags; JMeter for performance load testing API endpoints with multithreading to improve test script execution time; Configuring endpoint contracts using Swagger and generating Java models using Swagger CLI; Implementing jobs using Spring Batch using chunk-oriented processing and tasklets; Configuring SOAP endpoints using WSDL and securing endpoints with WS-Security; Maintaining documents in ElasticSearch by indexing with shards and preventing data loss with snapshots; Developing high throughput applications by using proper Apache Kafka and partitioning, offsetting and message replication; Sprint Boot and building REST applications: handlers, hibernate, spring dependency injection and java provided dependency injection (JSR-299) and API endpoint security; Utilizing Java 8 and Java 11 such as multithreading, the use of generic classes and methods, reflection API and use of design patterns in solutions; Java 8 and Java 11 concepts: streams, functional interfaces and Lambda expressions; Configuring web application to be deployable in a Jboss Application Server; Linux operating system for applications deployed on Linux servers; Linux commands, and environment variables; and Using Window Operating System.
