The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
Job Overview:
The cook is responsible for the preparation of food according to the planned menu. They must always demonstrate adherence to food storage guidelines. Cook is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School diploma
Preferred:
- 3-5 years grill/high volume experience
- Experience in high production food service
Scheduling Requirements:
- Shifts to include: 5:30a-2p, 8a-4:30p, 930a-6p, 10:30a-7p
- Must be flexible with the shifts and duties
- Weekend days off variable
- Full Time
Essential Functions:
- Follows all recipes to conform with dietary restrictions.
- Follows correct procedure for handling raw / cooked products according to sanitary guidelines.
- Follows dress code policy for department
- Follows sanitary guidelines for personal hygiene
- Maintains a proper production schedule to ensure food is ready in a timely manner
- Performs sanitation duties as assigned
- Prepares food according to planned menu
- Properly store all prepared foods utilizing the FIFO system at all times

Kitchen Preparation Responsibilities:
• Follows recipe and storyboards to prepare foods according to proper preparation methods
• Ensures proper food handling and sanitation procedures are followed
• Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area including tables, shelves, walls, oven, and refrigeration equipment
• Maintains high standards of personal grooming. Washes hands frequently and before each new task. Wears gloves to prevent bare hand contact. Promptly changes apron if it becomes soiled
• Understands and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures
• Responsible for unpacking and organizing received goods in a timely manner
• Prepares menu items using plating recipes when ordered
• Promptly reports equipment and food quality problems to management
• Utilizes tools including the prep list, hot box chart in conjunction with the manager to ensure timely delivery of products needed for service
• Follows all safety procedures when using equipment
• May be asked to assist in other job categories as well
• All other duties as assigned
