DSG is seeking a CDL Delivery Driver in our Plymouth, MN location. In this full time, hourly position, work is typically performed between the hours of 5 am and 2:30pm, Monday through Friday , but may vary on occasion according to business needs. As a CDL Delivery Driver , you will work in all aspects of warehouse operations, with the primary duty of delivering product to customers and jobsites , which includes the loading, unloading, securing and transporting of such materials.

The CDL Delivery Driver must hold a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with current medical card.
A Typical Day in the Life of a CDL Delivery Driver at DSG:
- Load delivery truck in a safe manner, according to company policy
- Work with warehouse associates to communicate how product should be loaded
- Inspect truck & trailer according to company policy and DOT standards, to ensure it is in good working order
- Immediately communicate any vehicle safety and/or maintenance issues to the supervisor
- Communicate with customers regarding delivery dates & times
- Drive to various customer locations, typically within 150 miles of branch location
- Unload materials at customers' places of businesses and/or warehouses, as per customer instruction
- Stay compliant with DOT/FMCSA and OSHA regulations including completion of training activities as required by DSG policy and/or regulatory authorities
- Adhere to DSG's safety policy and vehicle safety program
- Maintain a good driving record
- Assist in all aspects of warehouse operations when not out on delivery:
- Accurately pull product to fill orders in a timely manner
- Pack, label and put filled orders in proper locations for delivery
- Operate forklift
- Use computer and RF scanner to check on status, availability and location of product
- Perform other duties as assigned
- A valid Class A or B CDL with current medical card (required).
- Basic product and warehouse/delivery knowledge normally acquired in one to three years of applicable experience.
- Attention to detail.
- The ability to plan, prioritize and organize work effectively to work efficiently under pressure and time deadlines.
- Safety training on material handling and forklift driving.
- Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.

Position Summary:
The primary function of a delivery driver is to safely and efficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with company policies along with Federal and State regulations and delivers all freight undamaged. Work as a team player to deliver, load/unload materials while providing a world class customer service experience.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Inspect truck/trailer for defects for safe operation.
- Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom truck and unload products at commercial and residential job sites.
- Deliver materials to assigned area as directed by the customer while prioritizing personal safety and the safety of those around you.
- Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations.
- Must report all accidents involving driver or company equipment.
- Stamina to lift heavy building materials up to 100+ lbs. for load/unload.
- Excellent customer service skills and professional attitude.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Must have a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Minimum Class B License, Class A strongly preferred
- Must have a clear three (3) year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
- Must have overall knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.
