Summary:
Directly responsible for overseeing and organizing of shipping and receiving operations within the company, ensuring the efficient and accurate movement of goods. Managing the receipt, storage, and dispatch of raw materials, finished products, and other materials.
General Duties & Responsibilities:
- Receiving and Inspecting:
- Oversee the receipt of incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Verify shipments against purchase orders and invoices.
- Inspect goods for damage or quality issues, and report any discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming shipments.
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, etc.).
- Shipping and Distribution:
- Manage the shipping process, including order processing, packaging, and label printing.
- Ensure timely and accurate shipping of products.
- Coordinate with carriers and logistics providers.
- Track shipments and resolve any issues that arise.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper storage of food products.
- Implement and maintain inventory control systems.
- Staff Management:
- Supervise and train shipping and receiving staff.
- Evaluate performance and provide feedback.
- Ensure that staff follow safety protocols and procedures.
- Other Duties:
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Respond to inquiries from customers and suppliers.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Implement and maintain safety procedures and standards in handling of goods.
- Negotiate shipping and freight rates with carriers.
- Coordinating returns of merchandise and managing claims for damaged goods.

+ Cross-training in multiple areas of the warehouse including inbound and outbound
**_Qualifications:_**
+ 1 - 2 years related experience preferred
+ High school degree or GED preferred
+ Ability to consistently lift 50 Ibs. and be able to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift of 8 hours or more
+ Work at heights up to 25 feet consistently
