Georgia-Pacific Rome Lumber is now hiring Manufacturing Production Workers.

Salary:

• Our starting pay is $22.28/hour.

• Night Shift Differential: Additional $.50 per hour (Total: 23.78)

• Only candidates who are flexible and available to workany shift will be considered. This will include overtime, holidays, and weekends based on production needs.
• We are currently hiring for both day and night shifts. The specific shift assignment will be based on availability at the time of your start date. While we cannot guarantee a specific shift during the interview, we will consider your preferences and accommodate them when possible .
• Your first week of orientation will be on 1st shift (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM), and you will be assigned your permanent shift after completing orientation.

• Sawmill Early week crew: Sunday thru Wednesday (7am-6pm) Sawmill Late Week Crew: Wednesday-Saturday (7am-6pm)
• Planer Mill: first shift: Monday-Friday (6am-4pm) Planer Mill Night Shift: (6pm-4 am)
• Additional hours may be required for overtime, holidays, and weekends

Our Team

Our team creates value by safely assisting with the production of lumber for our valued customers.

What You Will Do

• Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies and procedures and actively participating in the safety program.
• Remove lumber from conveyors and stacking onto carts.
• Working in various areas throughout the mill to help meet or exceed facility and company production and quality goals.
• Performing housekeeping functions to aid in keeping machinery running smoothly, reducing safety and fire hazards, maintaining environmental controls, and maintaining the appearance of the plant.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly work environment using blowers, brooms, and other equipment to clean up debris in and around machines to ensure a safe work environment for all employees.
• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to 12 hours a day.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• A minimum of six (6) months of work experience in an industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, farming, carpentry, construction, landscaping, production, or military environment.

• Minimum two (2) years' experience within a Manufacturing environment with (1) year experience operating heavy equipment and/or forklifts within an Industrial/Manufacturing environment.
• Experience working in a lumber or wood products environment.

BULL MOOSE TUBE, a progressive organization dedicated to meeting our customers' perception of quality, is looking for an energetic, key contributor to enhance our operations at our Trenton, GA manufacturing site.

Responsible for:

Welding, painting, packing, sorting, stamping, forming, fabricating, and assembly of all types of tubular parts and sub-assemblies.

Requirements:

• Ability to operate welding equipment, single-stroke presses, and single-stroke tube forming machinery.
• Ability to operate single stroke metal fabricating machinery including but not limited to drills and single cut saws.
• Able to pack and sort parts.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Conform to all safety requirements.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Off shift hours 8pam - 4pm / 4pm - 12am - (Train on 8am - 4pm)

Job Duties (include, but are not limited to):

• Operate automated welding equipment, single-stroke presses, and single-stroke tube forming machinery.
• Operation of single stroke metal fabricating machinery including, but not limited to drills and single cut saws.
• Placement of appropriate parts into fixtures, dies, and workstations.
• Check parts for defects as required in Standardized Work Instructions.
• Set up and arrange work area as suited for most efficient production runs.
• Completion and reporting of applicable paperwork.
• Maintain machine and work area in a clean and organized manner.
• Other duties as assigned this position has cross-functionality and will operate in concert with other GRF positions.

Physical Demand/Environment:

• Ability to stand, walk, twist, bend, kneel, see, talk, hear, lift up to 45 lbs. Exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibration, non-hazardous materials, and variances of sound levels.
