**Position:** Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant - COTA
**Location:** South Hanover, PA
**Schedule:** Per diem. 8-5 Mondays, possible coverage Tues & Thurs to support OT. There is a possibility for additional hours if willing to cover at Carlise / Camp Hill / Harrisburg.
**Compensation:** Starting at $25.hr, increase based on your experience.

+ **Detail-Oriented:** Observe, note and report on the progress of long and short-term treatment goals and ensure proper documentation of patient care.
+ **Education:** Teach patients new ways of approaching tasks and how to break down activities into achievable components.

Pediatric Therapeutic Services (PTS) is seeking a part time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide school-based services to a local school district in Atglen, PA.
**Program, Grades, and Caseload Information:** District-wide coverage with experienced OT; covering all buildings potentially: Primary learning center, elementary school, intermediate school, Middle/high school
**Schedule Information:** M-F 8-3

**Responsibilities:**
+ Screen, assess, and evaluate students using appropriate tests and assessment instruments under the supervision of an OTR.
+ Plan and provide appropriate specialized therapy techniques through individual and/or group sessions designed to meet the educational needs of the student consistent with therapy goals contained in Individual Education Plans (IEP).
+ Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings to develop Individual Education Plans.
+ Evaluate student progress and determine readiness for termination of therapy services.
+ Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and implement classroom-based activities.
+ Provide consultative services to and involve parents in the therapy program of their child.
+ Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required in accordance with federal and state law, State Board of Education rules, and school policy to include documentation for the need for equipment and materials.
+ Meet the needs of all students effectively by working in partnership with other disciplines.
+ Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rules, and school policy.
+ Maintain up-to-date knowledge of research, theories, and practices associated with therapy in the school-based setting.
