Description

The RBT will provide direct one-on-one therapy to teach communication, social, and daily living skills, while reducing problematic behaviors in the home, community, and school settings in a center-based environment. The RBT will utilize interventions developed out of the science of Applied Behavior Analysis and will work under the close supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Requirements

•RBT Certification (training is available)

•High school diploma or GED (Some college preferred, but not required)

•Experience working with the autism population (preferred) or with children

**Responsibilities**
Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and treatment of mental, emotional, behavioral, addictive and developmental disorders and disabilities using specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skills.
+ Perform comprehensive diagnostic assessments of patient's needs and psychosocial status.
+ Develop a comprehensive, individualized treatment plan and goals for the patient and provide psychotherapy, group and family therapy if applicable.
+ Collaborate with other members of the multidisciplinary team, as appropriate, to develop treatment goals for the patient.
+ May participate in multidisciplinary patient care conferences discussing information obtained from patient assessments, updates, treatment plans.
+ Provide appropriate documentation of all pertinent information obtained in interviews, consultation with other healthcare professionals, referrals, contacts and supportive services provided to each patient.
+ Complete necessary documentation and reporting in accordance with departmental standards and Federal and State regulations.
+ Provide direct clinical supervision to interns and assigned staff.
**Requirements**
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
+ One or more of the following required:
+ Clinical Counselor credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
+ Counselor credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
+ Social Worker specializing in Clinical Practice credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
+ Social Worker credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
+ Clinical Counselor obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
+ Master's degree required.

** This position works primarily on-site at the BEDS Plus location in Summit at 7666 W. 63rd Street, Summit, IL 60501 and the Health Center in La Grange Park. Intermittent travel to other BEDS Plus locations to connect with clients in the local service area.**


SUMMARY

In partnership with BEDS Plus, a leading homeless services provider, Pillars Community Health provides behavioral health clinical services to individuals in the Medical Respite program. "The Summit Service Center offers acute and post-acute medical care for homeless persons who are too ill or vulnerable to recover from a physical illness or injury on the streets but do not qualify for further hospitalization, rehabilitation services or nursing home care."


The PCH Behavioral Health clinician will provide brief therapy, mental health and substance use intervention services, and/or counseling to individuals experiencing homelessness at BEDS Plus. Integrates behavioral health and emotional well-being support as part of a multidisciplinary care team, including medical and psychiatric providers. This role emphasizes integrated care through collaboration, evidence-based interventions, and client-centered support.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Provides brief intervention services using evidence-based practices to conduct individual, group, or family therapy and counseling services across the lifespan to clients of the Medical Respite program at the BEDS Plus locations. Services are provided in-person at the site.
  • Completes in person clinical assessments to formulate an accurate diagnosis and comprehensive treatment interventions to serve the identified client.
  • Assess clients' safety, mental health status, and related needs through in-person interviews, considering factors such as homelessness, trauma, and access to care.
  • Assess and stabilize high risk individuals and/or families.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed and coordinate linkage to crisis services for high-risk needs.
  • Collaborate with care team members, FQHC providers, and community resources to ensure a comprehensive approach to care.
  • Refer clients to appropriate internal and external resources, advocating for and coordinating services that address mental health, substance use, social, vocational, educational, and other needs.
  • Document all clinical activities, including progress notes and discharge summaries, in compliance with organizational policies.
  • Comply with administrative and statistical reporting requirements, including productivity standards, timecards, and personnel activity reports.
  • Collaborate with Pillars Community Health programs, external agencies, and community organizations to enhance service delivery.
  • Respond to clients' needs outside of scheduled sessions as necessary.
  • Monitor and support services provided by care team members.
  • Participates in specific program meetings, including required staff, line of service, and organizational meetings, and required trainings, and consultations.
  • Participates in peer review per clinic protocol to ensure that documentations satisfy current standards of care and regulatory guidelines
  • Maintains licensure and CEU requirements, regularly submitting record of such to HR and Credentialing and Compliance Departments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Masters Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or related field required.

Clinical License preferred (LCSW, LCPC)

At least 2 years of experience providing brief intervention clinical services, counseling, or therapy required. Experience working with clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders is preferred. Experience working in a community-based role or residential setting is preferred.

Experience working with a multidisciplinary care team is preferred but not required. On-the-job training in the model will be provided.


LANGUAGE:

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.


OTHER

Must maintain a safe driving record and have current valid Illinois Driver's License. Personal vehicle needed for transportation to/from the BEDS site(s) and Pillars Community Health sites. Mileage for authorized work-related purposes is reimbursable.


SCHEDULE:

Monday-Friday: 8:30-5 pm

*Direct service work will be on-site. Flex work arrangement can be requested for admin responsibilities*


PAY & BENEFIT INFORMATION

$47,000 - $67,000

* Wage is based on one's experience, qualifications, whether they are clinically licensed, and bilingual language skills as compared with our position requirements and other similar employees within the organization.
