The College of Music at the University of Colorado Boulder is hiring an Assistant Teaching Professor of Composition. The initial contract for this full-time position will begin January 1, 2026, and end April 30, 2028. This position will be eligible for reappointment review and renewable for three-year contract periods thereafter.

The College of Music, founded in 1920, is recognized as one of the top comprehensive music schools in the country. The College of Music offers seven degree programs in over 28 fields of study, at the bachelor's level through the doctorate. This position may have the opportunity to collaborate with other areas within the college, such as the Thompson Jazz Studies Program. This position will also teach courses for our new BA degrees in Music Production and Songwriting.
