Endotracheal intubation c. Ventilator Support/Ventilator Management d. Needle decompression of pneumothorax e. Umbilical Line Insertion f. Radial Arterial Blood Draws
8. Leads and serves with support of the PHS and Metro Health values. Incorporates emotional intelligence to sustain a safe and professional environment. 9. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Summary:
The Clinical Nurse - Transport is responsible for complete patient care in conjunction with fellow team members during inter-hospital transport, including responsibility for assessment and stabilization of transport patients, as well as performance of necessary diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.

* Complete physical assessments with the ability to distinguish normal from abnormal findings.
* Successfully assess at-risk status.
* Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as necessary and appropriate for the care of the patient. Such procedures will include: administration of medications, establishing IV access peripherally, intraosseous, internal/external jugular, and venous catheter insertion, venipuncture, arterial puncture, tracheal intubation, laryngeal mask airway insertion, cricothyrotomy, needle thoracostomy, assist with chest tube insertion, interpretation of blood gases and lab values, maintain, monitor, and evaluate non-invasive diagnostic equipment, determine need for respiratory assistance and oxygen requirements, and ventilator management, and perform and/or assist in CPR and other emergent procedures.
* Communicate with family including condition of patient, disease information (if possible), expectation with transport, and measures that will be done at Children's.
* Maintain communication with attending physician during transport, as per protocols.
* Maintain communication with referral staff, as per protocols.
* Maintain knowledge and competency in the use of all transport equipment.

Job Description
**(** Level of Mechanic is based on years of specific C-12 hands-on A&P mechanic experience).
+ A valid **(FAA) A&P** certificate is Required.
+ **Army C-12 / King Air 200/350/1900** hands-on A&P mechanic experience is required. Three Pay Levels - (AM-1, AM-2, AM-3) specific level for hire is determined by the years of hands-on experience on the assigned aircraft C-12 / King Air.
+ **US Citizenship is Required** to obtain a US Gov Secret Security Clearance, and for facility and base access.
+ Is responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying aircraft systems to ensure continued airworthiness.
+ These tasks are performed on avionics & electrical systems, engines, flight controls and airframe components.
+ Repairs are performed using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills.
+ Comply with aircraft records procedures outlined in DA PAM 738-751.
+ Ensure aircraft discrepancies are properly recorded in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and within the terms of the contract.
+ Know and understand the functions and requirements of computerized maintenance software.
+ Perform aircraft recovery missions as necessary.
+ Perform engine run or taxi operations. Meet requirement to obtain certification within 12 months of employment.
+ Reads and interprets manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
+ Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
**Minimum Requirements**
+ A High School diploma or GED equivalent is Required.
+ A valid ( **FAA) A&P** Certificate is Required **.**
+ **Union CBA Site** , Position has 3 levels of A&P experience, based on specific years of experience on the C-12/King Air (MDS) Mission Design Series aircraft assigned.
+ **AM-1** Requirements - **FAA A&P** and **Two (2)** Years of A&P mechanic experience is Required, with two (2) or more years of specific C-12 or UC-35 experience being preferred.
+ **AM-2** Requirements - **FAA A&P and Five (5)** years of **C-12** specific hands-on A&P aircraft mechanic experience is required.
+ **AM-3 Requirements - Ten (10) years of FAA A&P** mechanic experience, and **Thirteen (13) years** of specific **C-12** aircraft experience is required.
+ A valid Driver's License is required.
+ **Mechanic Tools are Required** ; Mechanics must provide their own Tools and Toolbox. Toolbox must be shadowed, each tool to be etched with mechanic PID. (Recruiter will provide tool requirements).
+ Ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit.
+ Must be willing and able to work any shift assigned and/or rotate for a multiple shift operation.
+ (Site runs Two (2) shifts: First shift is 0530 - 1400, Second shift is 1430 - 2300, Monday- Friday).
**Security Clearance Requirements:**
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance is Required. **US Citizenship is Required** to obtain a Secret Security Clearance, and to obtain facility credentials and authorization (CAC) to work at this site and facility.
**FAA A&P Medical Requirements:**
+ **Medical/Physical.** All personnel performing engine runs, ground taxi, ordnance loading, or operating self-propelled support equipment within Ten (10) feet of the aircraft silhouette must pass a physical examination from a qualified medical professional prior to conducting these operations, and subsequently on a specified periodic basis, not to exceed Five (5) years.
**Additional and Physical Qualifications**
+ Ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit.
+ Stand, squat, sit, walk, work with arms overhead for extended periods of time.
+ Pull, push, lift up to 50 lbs.
+ Comply with the FAA regulations as applicable.
+ Know, understand and comply with the requirements outlined in the contract performance work statement (PWS).
+ May be required to work and/or rotate for a multiple shift operation.
+ Possesses a valid FAA Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) license and shows compliance with FAR 65.83, recent experience requirements.
+ Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
+ Reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining professional and non-confrontational attitude.
