Position Overview:
The Hudson Clean Heat Applications Engineer will be responsible for the design, coordination, and implementation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects utilizing the latest in water source heat pump technology and any other non-carbon based heating and cooling technology. This role requires applied engineering experience in MEP disciplines and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective project delivery. The engineer will support the Sales Team in design development, construction documentation, and the Project Management team in the project execution, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications while meeting the project timelines and cost targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design & Engineering Development
    • Prepare detailed design layouts, calculations, and specifications for heat pump, electrical, and plumbing systems.
    • Perform equipment selection and sizing, load calculations, and energy analysis.
    • Review and apply relevant building codes, standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, NEC, IPC), and regulatory requirements.
    • Develop schematic designs and support design development and construction documents.
  2. Project Coordination
    • Collaborate with the Sales Team on the pre-sale engineering characteristics of projects.

This is a remote position to be based out of a home office requiring approximately 50% travel within the Northeast region. What you'll do:

This role supports one or more product lines-including protective relays, power and energy meters, communication gateways, trip units, and Power Distribution Monitoring and Control (PDMC) solutions-by driving specifications and sales growth in the Northeast Region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage Eaton's enterprise resources to promote product adoption through strategic engagement with end users and specifying consultants.

  • Integrate Eaton solutions into project plans and RFPs, aligning with the Strategic Roadmap set by the PCD Connected Products group.

  • Collaborate with product lines to identify opportunities, define requirements, and support commercialization efforts.
